SCHOOL PROFILE FALL 2017

MISSION

The MASTERS Program is committed to the development of engaged, compassionate students who value academic excellence and education beyond high school, service to others and creating a conscious community.

SCHOOL PROGRAM

The MASTERS Program is an early college public charter high school located on the campus of Santa Fe Community College in Santa Fe, NM. Students are selected to attend through a lottery. TMP serves students in grades 10 – 12, offering high school level and/or college classes depending on individual academic level. TMP teachers are licensed by the State of New Mexico and trained in the Socratic approach to education, which emphasizes lecture, coaching and seminar discussions that teach higher level thinking skills. Community service is required for all students every year and is integrated into aFridayProject learning experience in the Santa Fe community. Current projects range from trail maintenance for the county to video production to working on a Habitat for Humanity building project.

ACCREDITATION

The MASTERS Program is a state charter high school under the jurisdiction of the Public Education Department. TMP has received an “A” rating from the State of New Mexico for the past four years and is in the top 5% of public schools in New Mexico. In 2015, TMP was also accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement.

CURRICULUM

Students are required to earn 28 credits to graduate from The MASTERS Program. Each student’s transcript reflects a combination of high school level and college level courses depending on ACCUPLACER testing placement and interest.
