School Operations and Performance Division
School Operations and Performance Division leads and directs the operations of more than 2200 NSW public schools to maximise the academic achievements of all students and create a culture of success, learning and a desire to achieve, underpinned by innovative, adaptive and supportive strategies that also supports the quality of teaching and educational leadership at the school level. The division is responsible for managing policy, strategies and operations that support principals, teachers and students in preschools, infants, primary, secondary, central and community schools, specialist and comprehensive schools, specific purpose schools, intensive English and environmental education centres. The overarching goal of School Operations and Performance Division is to achieve the best possible outcomes for the students in our public schools from preschool to year 12.
Primary purpose of the role
Provides a wide range of clerical and administrative functions and support services for LMBR Business As Usual (BAU) Support Team.
Key accountabilities
- Contributes to the effective business operations of the LMBR BAU team by providing a range of quality administrative, clerical, and organisational support activities utilising a range of MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Regularly maintain and uploaded material on the LMBR Intranet website.
- Monitor and maintain documentation in accordance with departmental records and document management standards and protocols using HPRM.
- Utilise organisational and administrative skills in a large program work environment while maintaining strict confidentiality, sensitivity and ensuring that tight time frames are met.
- Knowledge of corporate communications publishing guidelines and style guides and an ability to liaise with appropriate internal stakeholders to ensure these are adhered to when required.
Key challenges
- Ability to provide quality administrative support services to the LMBR BAU Support Team whilst operating under competing demands, shifting priorities and workloads.
- Assist in tracking correspondence and training material, utilising HPRM where appropriate to ensure that records are easily identified along with distributing incoming correspondence.
- Work as part of a team whilst competently understanding overall work priorities and have a capacity for flexibility to meet a broad range of support tasks.
