Thank you for your interest in our school.

Roggendorf School of Hairdressing and Nails is registered and Accredited with the Private Career Training Institutions Agency . This means that our school is recognized for our standards of education and integrity. RoggendorfSchool was also awarded a Medal for BestBeautySchool by the Cosmetologists’ Association of BC. The school has in Surrey.

Enclosed is a brief outline of our basic hairdressing course. We offer Day; Refresher and Advance classes.

Programs start the first Monday of every month. Refresher or Advance classes can be altered to suit the student’s needs.

Day Classes

Full time:(10months)

Surrey location–Monday to Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Duration for full time program is approximately 10 months (38 weeks) . 1500 hours to finish the hair program.

Evening Classes at Surrey campus:(close - no night classes at this time)

Monday to Friday 5.00 PM – 9:00 PM

Duration for the evening program is approximately 16 months to reach the 1500 hours graduation requirement however it can be completed earlier with full attendance.

The institute will accept monthly payments as follows:

First payment of = $ 3616. ( 100.00 registration,$ 950.00 kit, $300.00 textbooks & $ 33 Datawitness report. 1/3 Training fee must be paid for in full on the 1stday of class. & no refund + 1st hairdressing training program fee $ 2233

Students must bring a cheque or money order to process loan funding.

Second & third month equal payments of $2233.5 (each term payment, all subsequent payments are due on the same day in the next 2 consecutivemonths)

Registration and the payment of the deposit must be completed at least 1week before the start of the student program. Payment can be made withcash, Cheque or Bank money order (Sorry, Credit Cards and interact are not accepted).

The program (Option)

Roggendorf School can accept up to 540 hours as credit:

  • Had been training in Beauty school from your own country with diploma, or certificate.
  • Worked in some salon in the past for at least one and a half years or atleast1800 hrs or over.
  • You may be eligible to receive 540 hrs credits from the 1500 training hours.
  • A fee is required for any additional make up time if you have not completed the 960 hours required after the 6 month or 10 month part time.A fee of $400 per month until finish(as stated in your contract).

Hands on skills training 3 Levels – 3 month each level

Level 1

Draping – Shampoo – Basic Set – Comb out- Blow Dry – Basic Perm wrap – ladycutting form Solid – oval Rectangle & concave bob. Graduated form has4 types,increased long,layers, Shag and Uniform, Curling & flat Iron – hair or scalp Treatment

Level 2 (Intermediate)

Clipper for men’s cut, square form, shear over comb, Clipper over comb & buzz cut – spiral perm wrap – Coloring – Foils & other major color application system

– Receptionist - Skip wave – finger wave – Up Do.

Level 3

Job Strategies (Facilitated Resume, Marketing and Interview skill)

Facilitator/coaching training, Communication with client skills,design a combination forms suit on client’s face shape with shear razor or taper shear.

Theory – Pivot Point International text book Salon Fundamentals

Theory class every day 9 to 10:30 Only Saturday no theory class.

Theory exam: color exam & final exam (whole text book 15 chapters). Using multiple-choice type question system.

Statement of Purpose

Roggendorf School of Hairdressing and Nails will provide its students and staff with the best possible resources and conditions for learning and teaching, and create a working environment dedicated to prepare for the next generation of stylists and technicians for the salons of tomorrow and be successful in the Beauty Industry of the future.

PROGRAM ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Students must have Grade 12 or be at least 19 years of age. Students under 19 must have a parental signature on the student contract. The program is taught in English; therefore a working knowledge of English is required (both reading and speaking).Must have at least 75% on English language assessmentin order to join the program of your choosing. Neither the student nor the institution can waive these admission criteria.

For Hairdressing:

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 22.5 equivalent to 75% or over,
  • Test of English from essential skills (Ita) ( with a minimum of 75% or over and a skill level of medium, (level 2).
  • World leader, in International education () with a minimum score of 75% or over, (b level).
  • International English Language Testing (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6.75 (equivalent to 75% or over).

I understand in the event of an extended absence, I must continue to pay tuition in order to maintain my place at Roggendorf School of Hairdressing and Nails.

In the event that the required 960 hours school training are not completed by the end date stated on this contract, additional days may be contracted provided that space is available.

I understand that, in case of withdrawal or dismissal, refunds will be disbursed in accordance with guidelines set out by the Private Career Training Institutions Agency (

1)Refund policy for students:

(a)Refunds before the program of study begins:

  1. If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution within 7 days after the contract is made, and before the commencement of the period of instruction specified in the contract, the institution may retain 5% of the total tuition and fees due under the contract to a maximum of $250.
  2. If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution 30 days or more before the commencement of the period of instruction specified in the contract and more than 7 days after the contract was made, the institution may retain 10% of total tuition only due under the contract to a maximum of $1000.
  3. Subject to Section 37.11.1.1, if written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution less than 30 days before the commencement of the period of instruction specified in the contract, and more than 7 days after the contract was made, the institution may retain 20% of the total tuition only, due under the contract to a maximum of $1300.

2)Refunds after the program of study starts:

(a)If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution or a student is dismissed up to and including 10% of the period of instruction specified in the contract has elapsed, the institution may retain 30% of the tuition due under the contract.

(b)If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution, or a student is dismissed where more than 10% and up to and including 30% of the period of instruction specified in the contract has elapsed, the institution may retain 50% of the tuition due under the contract.

(c)If a student withdraws or is dismissed more than 30% of the period of instruction specified in the contract has elapsed, no refund is required.

3)Where a student did not meet the institutional and/or program specific minimum requirements for admission through no misrepresentation or fault of their own, the institution must refund all tuition and fees paid under the contract, less the applicable non-refundable student application or registration fee.

4)Where a student withdraws or is dismissed from their program, they are entitled to 100% refund of any as-yet to be received consumables that have been pre-paid.

5)Where a student withdraws or is dismissed from their program after receiving technical equipment from the institution free of charge:

(a)The student must return the equipment unopened or as issued within 14 calendar days; and

(b)If the student fails to return the equipment as set out above, the institution may deduct the reasonable cost of the equipment from any amount to be refunded to the student.

6)Refunds owed to students must be paid within 30 days of the institution receiving written notification of withdrawal and all required supporting documentation, or within 30 days of an institution’s written notice of dismissal.
