Dean Perry called the meeting to order at 12:05 pm

Dean’s Announcements:

-Dean Perry welcomed new full-time temporary faculty Brett Masteller (Music Production) and Kathryn Lancioni (Comm Arts).

-Dean Perry announced the hire of a new part-time, permanent, choral accompanist, Jonathan Lakeland.

-New Faculty searches will be conducted for Music Production, Music Industry, Strategic Communication, and Interactive Design.

-Various capital improvements were made during the Summer: replacement of the stage floor in Sharp Theater, sculpture studios facilities and equipment, music practice rooms, C-Wing hallway, H-Wing, new piano in the York room.

- CA Pathways Program: Dean Perry discussed the 3 components of the program:

Identity and Vision, CA Guest Speaker Series, Enhancement of the Co-op/Internship Experience.

Interviews for the CA Coordinator are being conducted and will be finalized this week.

-Dean Perry will approve all travel and Platinum requests independently in the future.

- 12 grants of up to $2,500 are available for full-time faculty travel to Sub-Saharan Africa thru the Provost’s Office; proposals should be submitted to the Dean on the Travel Request form with an agenda and narrative .

-Dean Perry reviewed and compared the Delaware Study for Full-Time Faculty for the years 2013- 2014 for each major in CA and congratulated the faculty on reaching an above average goal.

-EOF CA Mentor Program received many faculty volunteers; Dean Perry will meet with EOF’s Student Development Specialist, Tanadjza-Robinson-McCray to implement students assigned to each faculty.

-CA Unit Plan Goals and Objectives list for 2016-2017 was provided to faculty.

-Guest Speaker: Rosa Mulryan, Assistant VP of CIPL, distributed literature and gave an overview of the programs offered: Non-degree program, Certificate program, Leadership programs, Pre-College programs and Summer youth camps.

CIPL shares 25% of the revenue of programs offered with each school.
