With school holidays just around the corner, Moonee Valley City Council runs a wide range of programs and activities to keep kids of all ages entertained. There’s something for everyone, including art and craft workshops, cooking classes, games and sports activities.No matter what your kids are interested in, there’s sure to be an activity they’ll love.

Wunderkammer

An exhibition of taxidermied fauna arranged as strange installations of animals from Africa through to Antarctica that interact together in intriguing arrangements. It was a hit at 2012’s Sculptures by the Sea and looks like it is part circus and part art exhibition. explores issues on climate change, biodiversity and more in an accessible and quirky way. A special children's area will be set up in the foyer of the gallery where children will be able to play, touch and interact with a fox skull, bird skeleton, lots of insects in resin, lizard skin and more, courtesy of Museums Victoria.

Unleash Your Wunderbeast

Roar like a lion. Stomp like an elephant. Jump like a kangaroo. Fly like an eagle. Create your own stuffed animal mask to be used in an exciting movement piece in an extraordinary animal brigade! This performance-based workshop gives traditional taxidermy a crafty twist – don’t worry though as no animals will be harmed.

The Deep

A beautiful play about a little girl named Alice who is scared of the deep water until an unsuspecting swim with some dolphins changes everything. Based on the book by Tim Winton and beautifully brought to life with puppetry and live actors from Spare Parts Puppet Theatre.

Play Along With Sam: Sam’s Animal Adventure

Sam Moran needs your help! He’s searching for his lost sound jars and his animal friends, the Bam Bam Binos on a fun-filled musical animal adventure! In his signature safari suit, Sam invites you to explore his world through rhythm, music and movement. So come sing-along, dance-along and Play Along with Sam.
