It is agreed by both student and parent/guardian that the directions of the SART as itemized will be as followed:

THE STUDENT SHALL:

  1. Attend all classes on time, everyday, with necessary supplies.
  2. Remain at school for the full time assigned.
  3. Verify any future absences due to illness with a doctor’s note.
  4. Abide by all school rules and regulations and maintain appropriate behavior while at school.
  5. Complete all classroom and homework assignments.
  6. Participate in CICO (Check-in Check-out) for the assigned duration period.
  7. Attend Saturday School to make up all unexcused absences.
  8. Other:

THE PARENT(S)/GUARDIAN(S) SHALL:

  1. Maintain an awareness of their legal obligations to see that their child: (a) attends school, (b) arrives on time, (c) remains at school for the full time assigned each day school is in session.
  2. Support school policies regarding academics, attendance and discipline.
  3. Attend all meetings and conferences concerning their child at school.
  4. Contact the attendance office regarding their child’s absences, schoolwork, and discipline.
  5. Review and sign CICO form and/or other forms related to attendance, academics, and behavior.
  6. Monitor student attendance and grades through the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
  7. Other:

THE SCHOOL OR SART SHALL: (In accordance with California Education Code Section 48321)

  1. Provide parent(s)/guardian(s) with PowerSchool Parent Portal Login.
  2. The school will report absences to the parent.
  3. Conduct an SST to assess student needs and establish additional support.
  4. Refer student to School Attendance Review Board (SARB) if student fails to follow these directives.
  5. Other:

TO THE STUDENT/PARENT/GUARDIAN:

All of the services in the district are available to assist you, and it is our goal to help you with improving your student’s school attendance and academic progress. We expect that in signing this contract, you are willing to do your very best in helping yourself, because the only alternative left for SART may be a referral to the School Attendance Review Board (SARB).
