MyRights Immigration Law Firm Scholarship

Eligibility: The QuestBridge National College Match is a college and scholarship application process that helps outstanding low-income high school seniors gain admission and full four-year scholarships to the nation’s most selective colleges.

Hit the Books Scholarship

Due:January 31, 2016 & September 30, 2016
Year: Undergraduate and Graduate students
Award: $500
Eligibility: Eligible students will be aged 18-25 and enrolled in an accredited college or university.* Candidates will have the opportunity to compete once in January and again in September for the scholarship, but will only be eligible to win the scholarship once. The “Hit the Books Scholarship” will award one student up to $500 dollars to be used for educational books and materials. In order to be considered for the scholarship, candidates should submit an essay of no more than 500 words on the subjects of the importance of education in their lives and how the scholarship money will assist the students’ goals. Bonus points will be awarded to those students who find a creative way to include their passion for coffee within their essay without losing sight of the primary topic.CoffeeForLess.com “Hit the Books Scholarship” winners will be selected based upon two criteria: successful accomplishment of essay subject matter and individual student needs. Scholarship awardees will be expected to permit Coffee Serv Inc. to publish their winning essay on CoffeeForLess.com. Awardees will also be required to compose and publish a follow up blog posting on CoffeeForLess.com with a photograph of themselves and an update on how the scholarship has helped them accomplish their goals. Hit The Books scholars are expected to illustrate integrity and drive with their use of the scholarship funds but will also be required to submit receipts for the educational materials acquired as a result of the scholarship award. Hispanic Heritage Foundation Youth Award

Award: $3000
Eligibility: The Youth Awards program is presented by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) and their sponsors. Latino high school seniors will have the opportunity to apply. If selected, the students will be honored during 10 regional ceremonies with an audience of influential community leaders, receive grants for their education or for an idea or project to impact their communities, and funneled into the award-winning LOFT (Latinos On Fast Track) program as they attend college and enter their careers.

Study Soup Scholarship

Due: October 1, 2016 & March 1, 2017
Year: High school, Undergraduate, and Graduate students

Eligibility: Any individual at least sixteen (16) years old who is currently attending high school (or equivalent) and will be attending an accredited university or college in the next academic year or currently attending an accredited university or college (undergraduate and graduate students are both eligible)

Casey Family Programs (CEJT)

Due: May 1, 2017 & October 1, 2016 (Undergraduate) & April 1, 2017 (Graduate)

Eligibility: Applicants must have received foster care, guardianship or adoption services from Casey Family Programs in Louisiana, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota or Wyoming and be starting or currently attending a technical school, college or university in pursuit of a certificate, associate’s, bachelor’s or postgraduate degree

Berrien Fragos Thorn Arts Scholarships for Migrant Farmworkers

Due: June1 and November 1 yearly
Year: Any
Award: Grants up to $2,500.00 awarded semi-annually
Eligibility: Minimum 16 years of age, applicant need not be enrolled in school, because there is no essay required, the Letter of Recommendation is very important and should address the quality of both the applicant and the intended project, and a history of movement to obtain work in agriculture is REQUIRED.

BBG Communications Youth Volunteer Scholarship Award

Eligibility: BBG provides the Youth Volunteer Scholarship Award to recognize and reward a student who demonstrates a passion for volunteering, while maintaining a high level of academic achievement.

Rosenfeld Injury Lawyers –Single Mother’s Scholarship 2015

The Lead Roster B2B Sales & Marketing Scholarship

Eligibility:The Lead Roster B2B Sales & Marketing Scholarship is a highly competitive award for high school and college students interested in sales & marketing. Unlike most scholarships which require a simple essay and "good luck" to win, the Lead Roster scholarship puts the tools for winning in your hands by judging your entry on your ability to market and sell your own ideas! Students applying must submit the URL of a video they've uploaded to YouTube where you explain, present, convince, inspire, entertain, market and/or sell us your reason why you deserve to win this scholarship. The video can be anything that you feel will compel us to choose your entry as long as it has "Lead Roster Scholarship" in the title and is publicly viewable. Studying in the fields of Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Communications, or IT are recommended but not required. Being passionate about communicating your ideas is an absolute must. We're always excited to see what the next generation of business leaders will do to create a winning video!

Dr. Juan Andrade, Jr. Scholarship

Year: Undergraduate students
Award: $500-$1,000
Eligibility:Applicant must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a full-time student, in an accredited four-year or two-year institution in the U.S. or U.S. territories, and demonstrate a verifiable need for financial support. At least one parent must be of Hispanic ancestry. Recipients must also be available to attend the 35th National USHLI Conference in Chicago, IL, February 16-19, 2017.

Affinity Plus Foundation Scholarship Program

Year: High school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students
Award: $5000
Eligibility: Be a primary member of Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, follow all application instructions and checklist provided, submit all requested materials via the online application, or drop off a printed application and supporting documents to an Affinity Plus branch location.

Frank Kazmierczak Memorial Migrant Scholarship

Year: Undergraduate and graduate students
Award: $1000
Eligibility: The purpose of this scholarship is to serve as a living tribute to Frank Kazmierczak, a long time migrant educator, by offering an annual award in the amount of $1,000 for post-secondary scholarship assistance to a migrant student who wishes to pursue a career in teaching.

Barbara Wiedner & Dorothy Vandercook Memorial Scholarship Foundation, Inc.

Due:March 1, 2017
Year: High school senior and college freshmen
Award: $250 or $500
Eligibility: Awards of $250 or $500 for high school seniors and college freshmen with demonstrated leadership and personal initiative in activities involving: Peace and Social Justice, Nuclear Disarmament, and/or Conflict Resolution.

CANFIT Scholarship

Year: Undergraduate and graduate students
Award: Varies
Eligibility: Undergraduate and graduate scholarships are available for California African-American, American Indian, Alaska Native, Asian American, Pacific Islander or Latino/Hispanic students expressing financial need to study nutrition, physical education or culinary arts in the state of California. Checks will be mailed to the educational institution and are to be used toward tuition and fees.

Foster Care to Success Scholarship

Due: March 31, 2017
Year: Undergraduate students
Award: $2,500-$5,000
Eligibility:Have been in public or private foster care for the 12 consecutive months leading up to and including their 18th birthday; OR have been adopted or placed into legal guardianship after their 16th birthday; OR have been orphaned for at least one year at the time of their 18th birthday and not subsequently adopted, be under the age of 25 on March 31 of the year in which they apply if they have not previously received scholarship funding from Foster Care to Success, have been in foster care or orphaned while living in the United States, and have been accepted into or expect to be accepted into an accredited, Pell-eligible college or other postsecondary school

Robert Apicella Good Samaritan Migrant Scholarship

Eligibility: The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize a migrant farmworker senior high school student from New York State needing post-secondary scholarship assistance who has demonstrated a caring and giving attitude toward another individual or community with a $500 scholarship.

The Charles & Lucille King Family Foundation Scholarship

Year: Undergraduate juniors and seniors
Award: $3,500
Eligibility: Undergraduate juniors and seniors majoring in television and film at an accredited 4-year, degree-granting U.S college or university

Jean DeGrace Crandall Memorial Scholarship Fund

Due:April 1, 2017
Year: Undergraduate and graduate students
Award: $2000
Eligibility: The purpose of this scholarship is to serve as a memorial to Jean DeGrace Crandall, educator and friend to the migrant community, by offering an annual award in the amount of $2,000 for post-secondary scholarship assistance to a migrant farmworker or child of a migrant farmworker from Mexico with a history of migration to Ulster, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, or Westchester Counties in New York State. Though not required, but because of Jean’s personal interests, preference will be given to a student with a demonstrated interest in traditional Mexican art and culture.

Aurelio “Larry” Jazo Migrant Scholarship

Geneseo Migrant Center Migrant Farmworker Baccalaureate Scholarship

Award: Varies
Eligibility: The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial support to a deserving student with a history of migrating for employment in agriculture who has successfully completed one year of college. This support will cover expenses beyond what the youth is entitled to in federal/state and other scholarship assistance. This scholarship is designed to assist the youth in obtaining a baccalaureate degree without being encumbered with substantial debt.

Golden Door Scholarship

Eligibility:Applicants can be current high-school students or recent graduates not enrolled in a four-year undergraduate program. Community college students are welcome to apply. Applicants must be eligible for DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals).

Scholarship America Dream Award

Eligibility: At least 17 years old, received a high school diploma or the equivalent from a U.S. school, have at least one year of college, vocational school or trade school completed by July 1, 2017, plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study (at the sophomore level or higher) at an accredited two or four year college, university or vocational-technical school in the United States for the entire 2017-18 academic year, 3.0 GPA, pursuing first bachelor's degree, or an associate's degree, demonstrate financial need, leadership, and volunteer spirit, and be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (holder of a Permanent Resident Card), or have been granted deferred action status under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program (DACA)

Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics Foundation Essay Contest:
