1) Alta Elementary School PTC

  • Must have attended Alta School
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA

2) American Legion Post #35 of Reedley

  • Family member is currently serving or is an Honorably Discharged Veteran of the armed forces of the United States of America
  • A copy of the Veterans DD214 Form, a Military Service Record or a copy of an Honorable discharge must accompany the application.
  • Family Member defined as: father, mother, brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother, or stepfather {copy of adoption records required}
  • Please list family income to demonstrate financial need
  • Minimum GPA of C+
  • Letters of recommendation from 2 senior year teachers, plus verification from the counselor or teacher of the student’s ability and desire to do college level work.

6) A.W. Bodine-Sunkist Memorial Scholarship

  • A background in CA agriculture-the student or someone in the student’s immediate family must have derived the majority of his or her income from agriculture
  • Financial need
  • GPA and extra-curricular activities indicative of potential for success

12) Cpt. Joe F. Lusk II Memorial Scholarship

  • Minimum 3.3 GPA
  • Minimum of two letters (sports, music, other)
  • Demonstrates consistent service to the school and community through participation in clubs, church, and/or volunteer activities
  • Acceptance to a four year college or university or two year college with intent to transfer to a four year program
  • Demonstrates outstanding citizenship and moral character
  • Include resume, letters of recommendation from two senior teachers, an essay, letters from two sources verifying community service/ volunteer activities

  • A personal statement describing the obstacles the applicant has faced, the progress to overcome the adversity, and the applicant’s future goals and plans.

19) Fresno-Kings Cattle Women Scholarship

  • Must have a background in agriculture and show an ongoing interest in perpetuating the agricultural industry
  • Must submit references
  • Minimum GPA 2.8 or above

23) Jon’s Bear Club Career & Technical Scholarship

  • 2 CTE classes from 2 areas or 3 classes in 1 CTE area
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Essay not to exceed 500 words on “How has your CTE experiences helped you choose your future education & career goals”

24) Juan Garcia Farmworker Scholarship

  • Recipients’ parents must be or have recently been farm workers. (Owners of farms are not eligible.)
  • Must be planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college
  • Must have a minimum 2.90 GPA
  • Must type up a one page essay; include a brief description of your family, your academic goals, and volunteer activities.
  • One letter of recommendation
  • Attach photo of yourself to the application (Senior Photo or Sports Photo)

25)Knights of Columbus Scholarship

  • Describe your academic performance over the course of your high school career. Indicate any awards of distinction you have received for academics, athletics, or leadership
  • Describe your involvement in activities outside the classroom. Please include employment, family responsibilities, church activities, and community and other service. List any elected positions held and the school year(s) involved.
  • Write a one page essay on the theme “Why I Am Seeking This Scholarship”. Please include sufficient detail for the Scholarship Committee to consider your application.
  • Student must have a GPA of 2.5 or above.
