  2. American Welding Society Scholarships – Scholarships available for students enrolling in a certified welding program. Go to for more information and click on Scholarship Application System to apply. The deadline is March 1, 2016.
  3. Homeland Credit Union Scholarship – Must be a member of Homeland Credit Union or a dependent of a member with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Students must be entering a 2 or 4 year college as a full-time student. Applications are available in the guidance office and are due back to Homeland Credit Union no later than January 30, 2016
  4. BGSU Data Science Scholarships - $5,000 scholarships available to incoming freshmen who declare a major in the new specialization in Data Science. Students will study calculus, computer science, statistical learning and statistical graphics. To learn more to go

  6. Young Entrepreneur Award—This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who operate their own small business. For more information and to apply online visit by December 18th, 2015
  7. Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools’ OhioLEADS Scholarships—There are 200+ scholarships available ranging from $1,000 to $11,750. Schools participating: American School of Technology, Brown Mackie College, Bryant & Stratton College, Chamberlain College of Nursing, Cleveland Institute of Dental-Medical Assistants, Davis College, ETI Technical College of Niles, Fortis College, Gallipolis Career College, Global Tech Institute,Healing Arts Institute, International College of Broadcasting, Oakland Park School of Technology, Ohio Business College, Ohio Institute of Allied Health, Ohio Valley College of Technology, Stautzenberger College, and Trumbull Business College.   8. BGSU STEM Scholarships—for incoming freshmen considering careers in teaching science and/or math. Recipients receive $4,000 the first year of college with increases each year up to $5,200 the fourth year. High school seniors considering teaching either secondary science or math OR middle childhood science and math may be eligible for this scholarship program. Criteria: minimum 3.0 GPA, recommended minimum 23 ACT. Apply to BGSU by January 15, 2016 and visit for an online application.
  9. ESPY Game Changers Scholarship—Criteria: 3.0 cumulative GPA with no lower than a 2.7 in any grading period; 25 hours of community service per grading period or 50 hours by year’s end; Commitment to an athletic team recognized by OHSAA.   10. General Electric Credit Union’s 19th Annual Robert A. Cunningham Memorial Scholarship – Five students will be awarded a one-time scholarship of $2,000. In order to apply you must be college-bound, a primary member of GECU, demonstrate a steadfast and long-serving spirit of volunteerism, and have a strong academic record with at least a “B” average.   11. Wright State University ROTC – Many paths are available to earn a degree while working towards receiving a commission as an officer in the US Army, US Army Reserve and the US Army National Guard. This scholarship includes tuition and all required fees, $1,200 per year for books, a monthly tax-free tiered stipend starting at $300 for freshman that increases each subsequent year with seniors receiving $500 per month during the school year. WACE Co-op Scholarships-If you have applied to any of the following schools and plan to participate in a co-op while in college, you may apply for this scholarship: Clarkson University, Drexel Univ., Johnson&Wales Univ., Merrimack College, Rochester Institute of Tech., State Univ. of New York Oswego, Univ. of Cincinnati, Univ. of Massachusetts Lowell, The Univ. of Toledo, Wentworth Institute of Tech. You must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA or better to apply. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline is February 15, 2016.
  13. Operation Round Up Scholarship-South Central Power Company Foundation will fund several $1,000 scholarships for high school seniors. Two scholarship winners will go on to compete at the Ohio rural Electric Cooperatives, Inc., statewide contest in the spring. Applications are available at and the guidance office. Students must have a minimum cumulative 3.25 GPA and minimum ACT compositescore of 22. Scholarship applicants must live in a county served by South Central Power. Deadline is December 31, 2015
  14. Morehead State University Scholarships—these scholarships will be automatically added to your financial aid package based on information received on the application. Tier 1: 3.75 GPA & 28 ACT= $10,000. Tier 2: 3.5 GPA & 24 ACT= $7,000. Tier 3: 3.00 GPA & 21 ACT= $4,500. Apply at Deadline for scholarship consideration is March 15, 2016.
