1. Fill out the entry form and return to the following address by August 1, 2012. Theme ideas will be accepted on a “first-come, first-serve” basis to avoid duplication. You must adhere to your original theme, or petition for an alternative site and theme in the French Creek District.

1. Your exhibit must be freestanding, sturdy and weatherproof in order to qualify for displaying and judging. Consider the wind and rain when choosing and securing materials to your creation. We strongly encourage you to visit the display during the weekend for a “check up” to ensure it is looking its best. No perishable goods may be used in the construction of your exhibit (i.e. pumpkins, squash). Since your creation will be auctioned off, it must be reusable and must be able to be transported in a few pieces. No additional, non-auction, items may be used in the display.

1. “Fall into Avon” and the exhibit site owners are not responsible for the security of the scarecrows on display.

1. Exhibits must be set up between 10 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2012 & 9 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012. Any damage to the site property is at your expense. Please take care during set up and be respectful of the grounds and structures at the property.

1. “Fall into Avon” reserves the right to take photos of the exhibits and use these photos for future promotion, without reimbursement to the designer(s). Photographs become the property of the French Creek Development and French Creek Merchants’ Associations. You must submit (drop or mail to address below) a 8 ½” x 11” photo (standard paper) of your exhibit by Saturday morning for use at the judging table.

1. The exhibits will be held on display for public enjoyment through the end of the Fall season. Your exhibit should be removed the first week of November. Unclaimed exhibits will be discarded.

1. The exhibits will be judged by an impartial third party at the close of the event. You do not have to be present to win. Prize winners will be notified the week following the event.
