SBDM Parent Elections

This is not a ballot. You must vote in the office in person on Thursday, May 26th.

Three people have been nominated for SBDM for the 2011-2012 school year. On Thursday, May 26th from 7:20 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. each parent/guardian can vote in the office for 2 of the following people:

Dianna Carter – Dianna Carter is te mother of 2 boys, Demond Dorsey 12,and Nolyn Carter 6, and the wife of Theo Carter. She belongs to the 7th Street Christian Church. She is a sports mom and heads the meal patrol for Paris Middle School Football and Basketball teams. She is the team MOM for her son’s T-ball team. She loves sportsbut knows that education is the most important. She has been employed byAvantor Performance Materials, ormally Mallinckrodt Baker in Paris for the last 11 years as a Distribution Coordinator III.

James Clark – James has two kids in the Paris School System, Jamaun Clark in 3rd grade and James Clark Jr. in 7th grade. He coaches football at the ParisMiddle School and has helped oversee the Paris Little Hounds Football Program for the last 5 years. He is a lay leader at the St. PaulUnitedMethodistChurch. He owns a commercial cleaning business. He currently serves on the PES SBDM council.

Anchalee Fields -Anchalee Steele is known to everyone by her maiden name, Angie Fields. She is an alumnus of Paris Independent Schools, class of 1991 & is married to John Steele III, who is a Lexington Police Officer. Together they have two beautiful children, Rheagan -2nd grade and John (BJ) - kindergarten, whoboth enjoy attendingPES. She is a faculty memberat SpencerianCollegewhere she is the MLT/Phlebotomy Program Director.Previously, she worked as a Medical Technologist at St JosephEastHospital for approximately 13 years.She is a long time member of Seventh Street Christian Church and has deep family ties in the Paris community.

She currently serves on the SBDM council and enjoys being a part of decision making which has an effect on the direction of the school and the school district. Being on SBDM council alsogives her a sense of being more involved with her children's education and development as they grow.She also enjoyed working with the teachers and hearing oftheir accomplishments and enthusiasm oftouching the lives of the children in a positive way.She said, “I would be honored if you vote for me so I would have another opportunity to serve on SBDM council.”

Who Can Vote: The parents of all children enrolled at the school or pre-registered to attend next year may vote. Voting must be done in person. Each parent gets one vote.
