Dear Parents of the Class of 2016:

Congratulations on your student’s upcoming graduation from ReynoldsHigh School. We are proud of the accomplishments of the Class of 2016. Commencement plans are complete, which will be held Thursday, June 16th at the Memorial Coliseum.

Each family will receive fifteen tickets, which will be distributed the week of graduation after grades have been finalized. Students may pick up their tickets once they have completed all graduation requirements, taken the senior survey in room C-4, all fees have been paid and all books/materials have been returned. Students will be required to sign for their tickets when they pick them up as a verification of receipt. We will not be able to hand out duplicate tickets to families should tickets be lost or misplaced, so please stress with your student the importance of keeping these tickets in a safe place.

If your student currently has an outstanding debt in the library, athletics, or RHS bookkeeping office, please remember to take care of this no later than June 10th, 2016 at 3:00pm. These debts are representative of what is owed by your student throughout their high school career. We encourage students to check this list more than once, as names will be added as necessary. We would like to remind all of our families that students will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony if they have any outstanding monies owed to the school, or if they have not completed each graduation requirement. Please take advantage of their remaining time at RHS to clear up any of these items.

Also, pleasenote that seniors are expected to attend rehearsal the morning of graduation. Students will not be allowed to participate in commencement exercises if they do not attend rehearsal from start to finish.

For your convenience, a map to the Memorial Coliseum is provided, as well as a calendar of senior events. When reviewing the calendar, please be aware that ReynoldsHigh School does not promote or sponsor any senior trips – decisions about these trips should be considered by families independently of the school.

The Class of 2016 has worked hard to meet a set of rigorous graduation requirements that lead to meaningful post high school opportunities. The staff of Reynolds High School works diligently to provide a quality graduation ceremony that celebrates these accomplishments. Consequently, we require graduating seniors to wear traditional robes and caps without any adornments, only items issued by the school may be worn during the ceremony. Please respect the importance of this event by not bringing in noisemakers or other items that detract from the significance of the evening. We share in the pride of your student’s achievements and look forward to celebrating them with you on graduation night.

Sincerely,

RHS Administrators
