Mission Trip to Bayou La Batre – July 24-30, 2016

-Thanks to Heather & Jeff Johnson we are able to spend a day at Orange Beach in Gulf Shores.We will be staying at the Johnson’s beach house Friday, July 29th. There will be lots of fun to be had! Bring spending money as there are go carts and arcades for night time activities and money for lunch on Saturday on the way home. We will provide Friday night dinner and Saturday morning continental breakfast.

CAR WASH FUNDRAISER
Cleanliness is Next to Godliness! Thank you to all who had their cars washed by our youth. Our next car wash will be on Sunday, June 26th. The youth will be available at the 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 services to wash your car! Your donation will be greatly appreciated. The proceeds will go toward this year’s mission trip to Bayou La Batre.
Candle Fundraiser – For those of you who ordered our Journey to Faith candles, they are in the Narthex with your names on them. Thank you for all who have supported our Youth’s mission trip. We apologize for the delay in delivery!

EYC – Diocesean News
Saturday, June 4th, around 200 youth and 20 parishes joined us for our annual Diocesan Tubing Trip. It was a great day filled with fellowship, laughter, and love.
EPISCOPAL MUSIC PROJECT
This past January, youth and young adults of our Diocese came together to record our first EP, The Sessions.They recorded 8 cover tracks that all will know who attendeddiocesan youth events. Commission on Youth Ministry applications for rising 9th Grade thru Young Adult
The application for the 2016/2017 Commission on Youth Ministry is now open. The purpose of the Commission on Youth Ministry is to continue to evaluate, enrich, and nourish our current Diocesan Youth Events. Youth leaders, young adults, and youth are all encouraged to apply. The application for deadline is May 22. Selections will be made shortly after. You can find the application here.
