Saturday of Service Leader

Description:

The Saturday of Service Leader will work in collaboration with the Poverty and Justice Campus Bonner Leader to provide Saturdays of Service (10/5, 11/2, 1/20, 2/15, 3/15, & 4/5). The Leader will help determine service sites, projects, transportation, food, and reflection.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate and work well with others
  • Desire to work with a diverse population
  • 3-5 hours a week
  • Clean Driver’s record and ability to drive campus van
  • Must be available for training day, Saturday September 28th 2013 from 10am-3pm

Intergenerational Service Leader

Description:

The Intergenerational Service Leader will work in collaboration with the Poverty and Justice Campus Bonner Leader to lead weekly Monday service trips to Satellite Affordable Housing Associates in Berkeley, CA where a small group of SMC students will create art, play games, and engage in conversations with senior citizens who live in affordable housing in the East Bay Area.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate and work well with others
  • Desire to work with a diverse population
  • 3-5 hours a week
  • Availability between 2:30pm-5:30pm on Mondays
  • Clean Driver’s record and ability to drive campus van
  • Must be available for training day, Saturday September 28th 2013 from 10am-3pm
