NB – Individual applications should not exceed £1,000. The maximum individual amount of £1,000 is only awarded for exceptional projects. Scholarship Overview

Edinburgh Napier University has entered an agreement with Santander UK plc to promote closer ties between Scotland and the countries listed below. Each year a minimum of 15 Mobility Scholarships of up to £1,000 are available to staff and students, for study/research overseas and in the UK. Scholarships are intended to broaden or enhance personal development, areas of responsibility, professional expertise, or academic knowledge.

There are two opportunities for staff:

Santander Staff Mobility Grants Staff can apply for up to £1,000 to undertake study/research in the Santander Network, which comprises the countries ofArgentina, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Germany, Ghana, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, UK, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay and theUSA.

General Criteria for all applications

  • Only complete applications will be considered.
  • Recipients must agree to report back to Santander and the University on the utilisation of the award and agree to a certain level of publicity.
  • Recipients must be employees of Edinburgh Napier University. Should a recipient leave the University before a project is carried out, the grant must be repaid.
  • Projects must be completed within one year of the award being made.
