Mohnton Borough Council met in regular session on the above date. Members present were Dale Eisenhofer, Jane Hoffman, Shirley Stuebner, and Dennis Frymoyer. President Mike DeFeo presided. Also present was Solicitor John Hoffert and Mayor Gary Kraft. Members Brad Gruael and Bailey Jones were absent.
The Budget Hearing was called to order at 7:15 PM. There was discussion about the reporting areas for some expenses and changes that were made to the 2014 budget.
The minutes of the November 2013 meetings were approved with a motion made by Jane Hoffman, seconded by Shirley Stuebner and duly passed by council.
REPORTS
ENGINEER
1. Borough council reaffirmed their participation in the reconstruction of the Locust Street wall in the amount $10,000 from the borough.

POLICE CHIEF
1. Report submitted.
FIRE CHIEF
1. Report submitted.
2. David Szilli, EMC, was upset that he was not consulted about the fire company requesting to be designated an emergency shelter.
SOLICITOR
1. Dale Eisenhofer made a motion to approve and advertise the year end ordinances, seconded by Jane Hoffman and duly passed by council.
PRESIDENT
1. The Reorganization meeting will be held at 6PM on January 6, 2014.
2. Jane Hoffman made a motion to change the business meeting start time to 7 PM, seconded by Dale Eisenhofer and duly passed by council.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
FINANCE
1. The 2014 Budget was adopted after a motion made by Dale Eisenhofer which was seconded by Dennis Frymoyer. A roll call vote was taken, with all members voting in favor. The budget for the General Fund is $1,266,945 and the Fire Fund is $85,275.
HEALTH & SANITATION
1. The contract to dispose of refuse at the Pioneer Landfill was approved, this is a 4 year contract.
POLICE & PERSONNEL
1. An Executive Session was called to discuss personnel related issues.
The Treasurers Report was approved with a motion made by Dale Eisenhofer and seconded by Dennis Frymoyer and duly passed by council.
