Commitments, Responsibilities, and Team Rules

· Be on time and prepared for practice. Dress for comfort, don’t dress to impress. Be ready by 3:10 pm to run and stretch.

· Meet in the gym on bad weather days and outside the girl’s locker room otherwise.

· Being part of this team is a commitment – Practice is not an option. You are expected to attend all practices. If you are in school and miss a practice, you need a note from home signed by parents explaining why you were not present.

· During games, all athletes should be focused on the game at hand and supporting your teammates. This helps ensure you’re getting ready to go in when it’s your time.

· Always come with a positive attitude. Do not argue with teammates, coaches, or umpires

· To ensure the safety of your child, you must provide a note giving permission for your child’s alternate transportation home at the end of an away game. Without a note/parent signature your child will have to take the bus home.

· All athletes will meet as a team at the end of all games and practices. You will be dismissed by coaches, when all equipment team responsibilities have been taken care of.

· Playing time is decided by the coach. It is based on attendance and effort at practice for the most part.

· If you miss a practice (unexcused) the day before a game you will NOT be playing, but will be expected to be there with your team.

· Most importantly, you must have passing grades and good behavior in school to be eligible to participate in Sandburg softball
