Sandbox Testing for the Interim Process
Market Participant Sandbox Test Plan for the Integrated Outage Management System (IOMS) and the Online Outage Request Form (ONLORF).
Instructions:
Sandbox testing of IOMS and ONLORF will commence on January 16, 2014 and conclude on January 30, 2014.
Please perform the tasks in the ‘Test Description’ column and fill in ‘Actual Results’ column in the below chart(s), as applicable to your facility (there are separate test plans provided below for IOMS and ONLORF users). If the result you get isthe same as the description in the ‘Expected Result’ column simply write ‘same’ under ‘Actual Results’. If the result you get is different than the description in the ‘Expected Results’ column please provide a fulsome description in ‘Actual Results’.
If there are additional scenarios that you wish to test, please add rows to the appropriate chart, fill out the ‘Test Description’ cell and report any issues to the IESO in the ‘Actual Results’ cell.
Submit your completed form to at your earliest convenience, but no later than January 30. This will allow for enough time to address any identified issues before the February 5, 2014 ‘Go Live’ date.

Note: System refresh rates may be delayed in the Sandbox environment. Please allow for sufficient time (in some cases, up to 1 minute) before confirming Expected Results for each test. The Reload button in ONLORF can be used to refresh the system.

2 / Submit Outage Requests as type Planned, Forced, Test and Info that have a Planned Start < 16:00 EST, 5 business days in advance using the Submit button. / Outage Requests should have a status of Submitted + Short Notice (these are considered late requests for 3-day advance approval).
3 / Submit Outage Requests as type Planned and Test that have a Planned Start < 16:00 EST, 5 business days in advance using the Submit with Request for Pre-Approval button. / Outage Requests should have a status of Requested Pre-Approval + Short Notice (these are considered valid requests for pre-approval if they are submitted prior to 16:00, 2 business days in advance).
4 / Submit Outage Requests as type Forced and Info (Planned Start is irrelevant) using the Submit with Request for Pre-Approval button. / The system should prevent outage requests as type Forced or Info from being submitted for pre-approval (via a pop-up error message).
5 / Using the Search Submitted function/screen, search for Outage Requests submitted as a request for pre-approval (set the Status filter to Requested Pre-Approval). / All Outage Requests submitted using the Submit with Request for Pre-Approval button are retrieved.
6 / Extend any In-Progress Outage Request with a status of Submitted or Requested Pre-Approval + Short Notice and as type Planned or Forced using the Force Extend button (Note: you will have to contact the IESO at in order to put the outage request In-Progress). / Outage Requests should be updated with a new Planned End and a status of Forced + In-Progress.
