Uniforms: How To Proceed / Paul / 15 min / The floor was open for discussion and the question of the parent/student/staff surveys was brought up. The results as reported by Judy Lyons-Baker shows a line right down the middle. 50% are for, 50% are against. The overriding comment from staff was that they want to see staff uniformly enforce the dress code at BJH.
Concerns were voiced regarding our low-income population and their ability to access resources.
Larry Gursky moves that BJH have a very structured dress code for the 2012-13 school year. Such dress code will be determined by a committee yet to be name with the option to move forward with a “Pride Wear” dress code in the 2013-14 school year.
