Sample of Technical Description: Refrigerator.
Refrigerator is an electrical appliance that freezes ice and maintain the freshness of food stored inside it. Refrigerator consists of many complex components. Some of them are the door switch, levellingfeet , door gasket, temperature control and defrost timer. Usually, the refrigerator has a rectangular shape and are divided into two sections. The first part is the freezing section and the second part is the cooling section.
The first known artificial refrigerator was first demonstrated by William Cullen in 1748 without any intended purposes for commercialization. However in 1805, an American inventor, Oliver Evans designed the first refrigerator. Later, the first practical machine was developed by Jacob Pulains in 1834 and began to be widely used in 1825.
As mentioned earlier, there are a few important parts of a refrigerator. First is the door switch. The door switch is one part in a refrigerator that acts as a sensor. It automatically turns on or off the lights inside the fridge when it is opened or closed. The door switch is located in between of the interior door and the body.
The levelling feet is another crucial part. It functions as to retain the stability of a refrigerator. When put on a surface, it makes the body stood on perfectly. It is located at the edge of the bottom of the fridge. It is normally square and made of either plastic or metal. The bigger base of the levelling feet makes the refrigerator be sturdy.
In addition, the door gasket acts to help the exterior body of a refrigerator is fully intact with its interior part. By having the door gasket, the temperature inside the fridge will be cold. It acts as a seal and normally made of rubber.
The temperature control lets you to adjust the temperature for the fridge and the freezer sections. Its function is either to lower or increase the temperature. As it is made up of plastic, it can only adapt in low temperature and thus it is located in the interior part of a refrigerator.
Lastly, it is about the defrost timer. It is located at the lowest part of the refrigerator near the condenser. It is made of metal and acts to let the frost stops from building up in the freezer in a scheduled time. The updated version refrigerator may not use this timer as the freezer automatically defrosted.
As a conclusion, refrigerator is an important item for storing food so that it can store its freshness and the food can be long lasting. It protects the food from direct sunlight and avoid from bacteria infection. Without refrigerator, it will cost us more because of buying fresh food and the leftover needs to be thrown. However, despite its advantages, we need to be prepared in spending some costs to pay extra bills for the electricity. Nevertheless, it is worth buying for a long term saving.
