Same-Sex Marriage in the Church?

On June 25, 2015, the U. S. Supreme Court, by a majority of one judge, declared that marriage to a homosexual partner is a Constitutional right. By this act of infamy the Court, by a majority of one, tyrannically overruled the expressed will of the People, their elected state representatives, and the elected Congress of the United States. They went further. These lawyers, appointed to judgeship under oath of upholding the Constitution of the United States, vaunted themselves superior to the elected representatives of the People by usurping the law-making powers of the Congress of the United States, which body alone has the Constitutional power to enact laws “pursuant to the Constitution.”

The supposed “law of the Land,” therefore, made by these unelected judges is no law at all. These facts have been attested to by all four of the honorable dissenting judges on the Court.

However, due to the present degeneracy of large populations in the United States, and the apathy and/or cowardice of political and Church leaders, judges’ order are slovenly submitted to and enforced by administrative authorities. Only six weeks had passed before one civil servant was jailed by a judicial tyrant and kowtowing law enforcers for disobeying the judge’s order to issue same-sex marriage licenses.

Licensing marriage is a matter of civil law of which all citizens are a part. At this present time civil law is in the hands of persons who are using it in violation of our Founding Documents and to the destruction of the foundations of our “one nation under God.”

Worldlings who will not honor “the laws of Nature and Nature’s God” will do what they will. We, on the other hand, who name the name of Christ are warned: “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:15

While licensing marriage is a matter of civil law, wedding ceremonies are not. (Beware, however. Social engineers with law degrees, judgeships, and evil agendas may very well and very soon proceed to make them pretentiously so.) Be that as it may. What are pastors to do when a homosexual couple asks to be married in the church with a Christian ceremony?

Simply this: Expressing Christ’s love for all people, explain to them that this is a Christian church; Christ gave no marriage ceremony for same-sex couples; and we cannot compose one.

And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Matthew 19:4-5

What if a pastor’s refusal lead’s to a lawsuit and the judge orders a pastor to perform a homosexual wedding? Answer: “Your Honor, you are demanding the impossible. There is no Christian ceremony for homosexual marriage.” Then what?

Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. Acts 4:19

Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. Acts 5:29

Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's. Matt. 22:20

From the beginning of the human race, marriage has beeen an institution of God, not “Caesar.”
