Salvation in Christianity is all about SIN…NOT knowledge

Sin and Knowledge

To have Knowledge of the Triad God especially of our Lord Jesus is a privilege of all human beings young and old, good or bad, it is the privilege of all of the angels and it is even the privilege of the devil and all of his demons whose knowledge about the New and the Old Testament exceeds ours (humans) by far for they were present in history from the beginning of mans creation. In the presence of disobedience (sin) all knowledge about Godbecame meaningless for it brought death to Adam and Eve and all of their descendants.

Romans 5:12) “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned’:

This was why, the most important gift of God to man through Lord Jesus was Life, (the return to the presence of God)a condition known asEternal Life. (Romans 6:23) “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”.

The Propateric Sin

The generations of man following the exile from Paradise, inherited from Adam and Eve what is known as the propateric sin. This does not mean they inhered any of their ancestors’ sins, but the inheritance of the consequences of the propateric sin. These were (1) life way from the presence of Creator God and (2) mortality that was to be accompanied by hunger, pain, illness and finally the death of the body.

Description of the two deaths inherited through the propateric sin

The first death inheritedisknown as a spiritual death because it represents life (a lifetime), away from the presence of God.

The second death inherited,is a description of the death of the physical body. This seconddeath is considered to bea gift to humanity by the philanthropistGod for without it, man could not possibly ever return to the Presence of God.

Salvation and sin“Nothing on me” He died sinless on the Cross! He went to Hades Sinless!

After Adam and Eves physical death (the death of their bodies/second death), their souls and the souls of their descendants were still “imprisoned” by the consequences of their SIN (the propatoricsin) that prevented them eternally from ever being able in the presence of God.The devil had the authority and the joy to know that he had the power to prevent even those who wererighteous during their earthly lives like Moses from ever returning to God after death. This injustice upon the righteous was pointed out by Paul in (Romans 5.14) “Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come”. In (Timothy 1:15) we are inform of our Lords mission. “This is a true saying, to be completely accepted and believed: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”. This is why, Lord Jesus (God Logos) took upon Himself the flesh and blood of men likewise, in order through death (physical death/2nd death) he might destroy the devil who had the power (authority) of death over the entire human race. (Hebrews 2.14) “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil”; This awesome descend of our Lord had taken place in Hades in order for Christ to fulfil all of His obligations including the sermon to the souls there enabling His Self this way to rule as Lord of justice for the whole of creation.

In order for overall justice to prevail, the destruction of the devil who had the power over death was not to take place in a violent way supported by divine supremacy, but by the type fairness that should characterize a Creator God (God Logos) who was to rule as a Fair and Just Lord to all of His all creations. (Ephesians 4: 6) “One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all». His victory upon the devil was to be a victory over SINby the -man part-in the Godman Lord Jesus who was also bound by the consequences of the propateric sin. This is why His entire life on earth was spent sinless. (1 Peter 2:22) “Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth”Henevergavethedevileven the smallest legal right to gain the authority of SIN upon Him.Lord Jesus could have come down from the cross at any given moment in order to physically defeat His enemies. (Mathew 26.53) “Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels”? He could have defeated His enemies with only a glance; however this type action would have been in disobedience of His Fathers commandments.(Mark 12:33) “And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices”.To physically defeat His enemies was an act that was to make Him a mortal leader of the strong on Earth and not a spiritual leader of the Holy in Heaven.

The -NEW ADAM- (the first born)

His Sacrifice, His Victory, Sin and Salvation

1 His Sacrifice for all man kind, was to allow His Self to die sinless on the Cross in order to Save us from sin.

2 This is why it is the common knowledge to Orthodox Saints and Theologians that His greatest victory upon the Cross… was His defeat! (John 14:30) “Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me”.

3 Dying sinless in order to become the first born from the dead(to overcome for man kind -spiritualdead/2nd death) was a spiritual feat that was to be taken up by all those Christians who wanted to follow Him by ALSO dyingsinless through -obedience- and the Therapy of the Church that was to be created by the Apostles for that purpose after His resurrection the day of Pentecost. (Colossians 1.18) “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstbornfrom the dead; that in all things he might have the pre-eminence”. In the second part of this verse we read that Lord Jesus is the first born from the dead however this description is of his victorioushuman naturebecausedivinity (God Logos) can not possibly be given birth to or die! Having pre eminence in all things as the High Priest (Hebrews 5:5), and also being the “head of the Body Church”makes it possible through remission of sins for all Christians to also diesinless. Baptism alone as prescribed by the Apostles through the Holy Spirit, does not only relinquishes all sin immediately, but it unites man with God making man a god-man (Saint) by the Grace of God

Baptism,Reconciliation with God

(Galatians 3:27) “You were baptized into union with Christ, and now you are clothed, with the life of Christ himself” Baptismfollowed as delivered by the Apostles begotten by the Holy Spirit the day of Pentecost, is our absolute “guarantee” that everything promised is delivered. Man is actually united with God (spiritually) and he is restored by Him to His likeness, (Holy) granting him this way the opportunity from here on earth to proceed through purity (clothed withthe life of Christ) in a way of life that leads toTheosis known asSalvation or Eternal Life. The Church is not a man made organization, but a Godman Organism (union with Christ), that is sustained to life and is directed by the Holy Spirit.

Ierotheos Metropolitan of Naupaktos about Baptism

“Through the "rite of birth in God", holy baptism, man's nous is illuminated, freed from slavery to sin and the devil, and is united with God. That is why baptism is called illumination. But after that, because of sin, the nous is again darkened and deadened. The patristic writings make it clear that every sin and every passion deadens the nous from being able to understand Spiritual Truths. One of those Truths needed for Salvation, is a life saving verse describing the conditions of Baptismthat arenon negotiable in (Ephesians 4.5) ONE LORD, ONE BAPTISM, ONE FAITH.

Retaining the purity begotten at Baptism by the remittance of everyday sins, enables Christians to also “be raised up from the dead” (spiritually dead) by the Glory of the Father”

(John 20:23) “Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained”.

Looking at the New Testament as the Ecclesiastic book as it truly is, we can find out how sins are remitted according to the Lords instructions to the Apostles who created Churches around the world as theraputicalinstitutions for this reason. Please note in (John 20:21) how Lord Jesus (the Son) also involves the Father in His actions that are about to take place. “Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you”. In verse (22) Lord Jesus also implicates the Holy Spirit. (22) “And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost”: The sins talked about in verse (23) can not possibly be remitted (forgiven) if they are not heard first! Confessing ones sins is known as theHoly Sacrament of Confession. “Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained”

The conforming of our conduct to the requirements of this new and virtues spiritual life(newness of life), is known by the Church as Divine Life.

(Romans 6.4) “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life”.

Divine Life

The keeping in our daily lives of all of the Evangelical commandments and our participation with honesty in all of the Holy Sacraments of the Church is a redeeming way of Life that is called Divine Life. In the of beginning of Christianity (the first 40 years) and in the absence of the Holy Bible, Salvation was/is possible by Divine Life alone. No education or the ability to read was ever needed to participate. After Baptism, Salvation can be sustained by the participation to 1 Divine Thanks, 2 Confession, 3 Holy Communion, 4 Fasting and 5 Prayer. According to the Churches Tradition, Saint Clement (Philippians 4:3) who sighted the Holy Cannons by sighing the last 85th one, is the Saint who informed us that the 85 Holy Cannons that the Apostles used in order to create Christian Churches around the world were written by Paul and Peter who are seen to hold HisChurch in the icon on the left. (The word Church is in the Holy Bible 104 times)!

The Holy Cannons provide mans freedom for they work in order to aid man to be delivered from Sin, and at the same time they liberate him from his greatest tyrant the devil.

The HEART is a Person

It does not matter how you look at this icon. You can describe this as Adam being provided a mortal body the moment of his exile from Paradise, or you can describe this as being the moment of death where Adam is leaving his mortal body.

The Holy Fathers teach that the “heart”, which is the center of the soul (and our psychosomatic self), reflects the condition of the eternal self (person) the one that leaves the body at the moment of death.

(1 Peter 3:4) “But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price”. The eternal heart is indeed the “place” where man is sanctified by God and this is why it is the heart (person) that is in need of the therapy of the Church. (2 Corinthians: 4:6). “God makes His Light shine in our hearts, to bring us the knowledge of God’s glory shining in the face of Christ. God can not bring the knowledge of His Glory to our ill begotten heart. (Mathew 15:19) “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies”: The presence of Divine Light (Holy Spirit) in mans heart makes man a new creation it makes man a god man but by the Grace of God. This is how Paul describes His personal experience, as being a new creation. (Gal 2:20) “So that it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me” Paul admits that God (Christ) lives in him, making him this way - part man and a part god- agod-man by His Grace, a way of being never seen on heaven or earth before. (Galatians 6:15) “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature”. So the heavenly Kingdom is NOT a “place” it is “a way of being” a UNION of man with God Creator Himself, begotten and experienced from this here life. (Luke 17:21) No one will say, “Look here it is”! Or, “There it is!” because the Kingdom of God is within you”. This is how the Apostles and the Saints did/do their miracles…it is not man that does them it is the God (Holy Spirit) within!

N.D.E (Near Death Experiences) the Tunnel light

(Corinthians 11:14) “And no marvel; for Satan Himself is transformed into an angel of light”

In (Luke 12:20), in the parable of the rich man, we have a description from Lord Jesus of those who will request (take) the soul of the rich man… who are not angels.

(Luke 12:20) “But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided”?

It is important to establish here that there were no “tunnel light” experiences as near death experiences recorded before the coming of Christ and the creation of His Church. There was no need! This is because the bright intelligent beings experienced after the establishment of His Church is none other than the archon of this world (John 12:31) the devil -his self- and his demons who are known to be able to transform to various shapes in order to meet the soul/person the moment it exits the body. The devil wants to assure the soul by his “illuminated” presence (angel/bright tunnel) that there is nothing to repent from, no judgment, nothing to change in their personal life in case their soul does not cross the lineand returns to their body. The devil and his demons “teach” the soul with their illuminated presence that the bright being that they think isChrist, is sympathetic to sin and a friendly Godwhowill not judge orsentence anyone to anything! The tunnel light N.D.E talked about is a common experience of all of the descendants of those who left the Church during the schism in the year 1054 AD.

In the absence of the redeeming Baptism and the redeeming life of the Church as DELIVERED UNCHANGED BY THE APOSTLES, a person no matter how good (remember Moses) or even Faithful to Christ, is still bounded at death by the consequences of the propatericsin and the authority of satan/sin)till His Second Coming.

AIRY Toll Houses

(WIKI)

The teaching ofAerial Toll-Houses regards the soul's journey after its departure from the body, and is related to theparticular judgment. The new spiritual conditions begotten through Baptism (as prescribed by the Holy Apostles), redeems the person/soul from the law of the propateric sinand entitles the soul/person to the presence of God and Paradise. (Romans 6-14) “For sin shall not have dominion over you –for ye are not under the law but under Grace”. The Christians, who are properly baptised, are nolongerbound by the propateric Sin because in the place of their old self (old man) there is a sinlessnew creation. The old man (self) is recreated sinless during Baptism just like Adam was, and this is the reason why the Church names Lord Jesus “the new Adam’. (Romans 6:6) “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin”.

The 3rd century Church icon titled -Airy Toll Hoses- is self explanatory and it reflectsthe lawful provision by which all of His creations get to contribute to the outcome of the decision for each and every one for He wants His Justice to be crystal clear as a sea of glass. (Revelation 4:6) “And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.” The story in the Toll House icon is very simple to understand. Demons are found present at death, to claim the soul/heart like they always have done but in the case of those Christians belonging to His Body the Church (Colossians 1:18), they can claim the soul ONLY if they can present evidence of sin. There is going to be a “placement hearing” not Judgment between Hades and Paradise. It is impossible to go through Toll Houses in the absence of the Baptism that unites man with God and enables him in His presence. (Exodus 33:20) “And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live”.
