Responsibilities

  • Dealing with customer service enquiries via phone, web and e-mail, maintaining the highest level of customer service
  • Processing ordersand payments made by the voluntary organisations that make up theIn Kind Direct network
  • Arranging, co-ordinating and reporting on regular visits to organisations in the IKD network
  • Processing registrations and renewals fortheIn Kind Direct network
  • Up-dating and maintainingcontact database
  • Contactingorganisations in the In Kind Direct network for feedback,ensuring that potential issues are identified and addressed appropriately
  • Drafting case studies based on phone conversations and visits to the In Kind Direct network
  • Identifying and attending conferences and meetings to promote In Kind Direct’s services
  • Assisting as necessary the Head of Charity Partnerships and Senior Charities Partnership Administrator in developing new areas of the service, and provide support where required
  • Liaising with couriers to ensure high levels of delivery service
  • Identifyingand implementingways of improving the customer service experience
  • Sharing post opening and banking responsibilities
  • Maintaining accurate and organised filing and archiving systems
  • Producing all necessary correspondence
  • Undertaking specific projects and other ad hoc duties, as required

Person specification

  • Numerate with a good attention to detail
  • Excellentand patient telephone manner
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office, the internet and databases
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work with people at all levels, and able to demonstrate the confidence and professionalism required to attend meetings and charity visits
  • Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Interest in the voluntary sector
