TWENTY-EIGHTH HOUSE DISTRICT

Twenty-eighth. Part of Stafford County comprised of the Aquia (401), Brooke (403), Chatham (602), Courthouse (402), Drew (503), Falmouth (502), Ferry Farm (601), Gayle (504), Grafton (501), Griffis (301), Harbor (303), and White Oak (603) Precincts and part of the Hampton (703) Precinct; and part of the City of Fredericksburg comprised of the District 2 (201) and District 4-Precinct 2 (402) Precincts and part of the District 4 (401) Precinct.

Precincts shall be interpreted to refer to those in existence on April 1, 2011, and as reported by the United States Bureau of the Census in the 2010 Census reports provided pursuant to United States Public Law 94-171, notwithstanding subsequent changes made by localities.

The following descriptions are provided for information purposes only pursuant to § 30-264 of the Code of Virginia. The provisions of § 24.2-304.03 of the Code of Virginia, including the statistical report referenced in and on file with the Clerk of the House of Delegates, shall be controlling in any legal determination of the district boundary.

A. Part of Stafford County contained within a line described as follows:

  1. Beginning at the point where Interstate 95 intersects the Stafford County-City of Fredericksburg boundary
  1. northeast on Interstate 95 to Warrenton Road (United States Highway 17)
  1. northwest on Warrenton Road to Berea Church Road (State Route 654)
  1. northeast on Berea Church Road to Truslow Road (State Route 652)
  1. southeast on Truslow Road to Crown Lane
  1. southeast on Crown Lane to its terminus
  1. east on a non-visible line, being the north boundary of census block 511790103041035, to Cambridge Street/Jefferson Davis Highway (United States Highway 1)
  1. northeast on Cambridge Street/Jefferson Davis Highway to American Legion Road (State Route 628)
  1. west on American Legion Road to Interstate 95
  1. north on Interstate 95 to Austin Run
  1. west on Austin Run to Mine Road
  1. northeast on Mine Run to Garrisonville Road (State Route 610)
  1. west on Garrisonville Road to Oakridge Drive
  1. north on Oakridge Road to Austin Drive
  1. southeast on Austin Drive approximately 0.1 miles to a point
  1. east in a straight line along the southern boundary of census block 511790102062004 to an unnamed tributary of Aquia Creek, the eastern boundary of census block 511790102062004
  1. north on said tributary to Aquia Creek
  1. north, then east, and then south on Aquia Creek, passing along the center line of Smith Reservoir and crossing Interstate 95 and Jefferson Davis Highway (United States Highway 1) to a property line unnamed on census maps but identified as the Aquia Harbour Subdivision property line in local ordinances, said property line being part of the western boundary of census block 511790101082000

  1. southeast on Sunken Road to Hanover Street
  1. northeast on Hanover Street to Lee Avenue
  1. southeast on Lee Avenue to Charlotte Street
  1. southwest on Charlotte Street to Weedon Street
  1. southeast on Weedon Street to Lafayette Boulevard (United States Highway 1 Business)
  1. west on Lafayette Boulevard to Hazel Run
  1. east on Hazel Run to CSX Railroad
  1. south on CSX Railroad approximately 5000 feet to a tributary of Deep Run, said tributary being the northern boundary of census block 516300004002033
