The Executive Board meeting was called to order by President Peter Hany at 7:05 p.m.
Citizens Forum: Nothing to Report
Committees
ERP 512: Nothing to Report
Membership: We have two new applicants that the membership committee met with.
-A letter of resignation was read by LyndseyBlanchette. A motion was made to accept her resignation, motion passed.
-A motion was made to terminate the membership of Michael Hardy, Shawn Milligan, and Erin Schierra. Motion accepted.
- A motion was made to accept Brandon Bartell’s resignation, motion accepted.
Town Emergency Management: Nothing to report
Driver Training: An update was provided on members that are in driver training. Also of importance is that we will be updating CEVO3, to the newest version, CEVO 4
Town Advisory Board Meeting: The next meeting will be held on 3/26/18 @ 7:00 p.m.
Technology: A motion was made and accepted to have J&S install an over head paging system.
-A motion was made and accepted to purchase 16-18 minitor pagers.
- The tough books have been removed from the vehicles
Incentive: Nothing to Report
CPR: The next class is scheduled for 3/10/18 from 9am to 1pm
Social: Great feedback from the banquet!
- Discussion was held regarding EVAC’s summer Picnic. Any ideas/suggestions please contact Doreen.
-There was a nice article on EVAC in the Ellington Events Magazine.
New Ambulance: Waiting for the final copy of changes before it goes out for bidding.
Ad Hoc Emergency Services: The next meeting is on 3/13/18 @7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall.
Town Staff Meeting: Nothing to Report
SOG/By-laws: A motion was made and passed to amend the bylaws with the revisions.
OLD BUSINESS
-North Central Health District: Peter Hany was asked to be on a committee to address the Opioid Epidemic.
ADHOC Emergency Services Committee: Peter Hany was asked to be a member of this committee, and Peter accepted.
HIPPA Training; To be held at ERM on Saturday, 3/17/18
Pulse Point: Discussed the program. No further decision was made.
CT EMS Volunteer Advisory Board: On 4/10/18 @ 6:30 p.m. EVAC will be the host for this meeting.
Stryker Parts:On order to retro-fit our stretchers.
CT CISM Team: The Basic Training will be held in April in Cromwell. See Peter if you are interested.
Tolland Windham County Meeting:Life Star spoke at the meeting regarding the new helicopter in Westfield, Mass.
EMT: The State of Connecticut is actively looking into EMT’s becoming Nationally Trained.
NEW BUSINESS
TB Testing: Anyone needing this testing, is able to go to Urgent Care, located on West Road. Please notify Simon or the Training Officer if you do plan to go.
Safety Day: Joe discussed wanting to bring the town wide Safety Day back. In the past, it was always a very good day for both the community and our emergency services.
OFFICERS
President: Any committee or any meeting that is held is supposed to have an agenda available prior to the meeting being held.
Vice President: Simon will be getting in touch with those members that were short their hours for the month of February.
Training: This month’s training will be with TN (Tolland County Dispatch.
Secretary: The minutes were accepted as read.
Treasurer: Financial Reports given. Medicare balance $5144.00, and main checking balance is $7817.14
Scheduler: Discussed the members that are not in good standing with their hours.
-If you are in need of hours, please contact anyone that already has extra shifts/hours.
Supply: Uniforms are still at Swiss cleaners being tagged.
-A motion was made and passed for us to have name tape applications added to the EVAC job shirt.
- The new order of key fobs is in.
- CO2 meters are due to come in soon.
-EVAC has allocated for lockers in the upcoming budget.
- Please see Brandon if you are in need of a Class A
uniform.
- Please contact Peter or Brandon prior to going to Swiss
Cleaners to pick up uniform/supplies, etc.
Maintenance: Both R543 and R643 had the front end rebuilt.
-New winter tires were also put on R643.
Public Relations: The deadline for submitting an article for the Ellington Events Magazine is 4/3/18
