Rules & Regulation

GENERAL Rules:

1.  The Library will remain open on all working days.

2.  All Staff / Faculty / Student members of the University stand eligible to become member of the Library by filling the membership form.

3.  Submit any book or object for inspection, when requested by the Library Staff.

4.  Do not write, underline or mark on any book of the Library. Library books are carefully examined on return and the borrower will be held responsible for damage, the amount of damage would be assessed by the Library committee.

5.  Complete silence would be observed within the Library areas, therefore, group study and discussion is not allowed.

6.  Librarian can withdraw any book if required for specific purpose.

7.  Mutation of the Library material & any violation of the rules will have serious disciplinary action beside fine.

8.  All books and other material available in Library should be used with care, since the replacement is very difficult due to high cost.

FINES:

1.  A fine of Rs 20/- per day per book will be charged on late return of book (s).

2.  In case, a book is lost or damaged by any members, the same will be replaced by him/ her with a new one or to pay the double price prevailing in the market at the relevant time.

3.  If a student leaves the University without returning the book(s), a fine determined by the Library committee will be deducted from his security.

4.  If any student accidentally mislay a book and could not find it after a thorough search, report this fact to the circulation counter immediately to avoid further overdue fine.

5.  The issuance of further book shall be stopped till the outstanding amount is paid and the books are returned to the Library.

DISCIPLINE:

1.  No discussion on any matter, Political or Friendly, is allowed to take place in Library.

2.  Drinks & eatables are not allowed in the Library.

3.  All members should observe Library timings.
