RULES FOR THE “LAKE ZONE” INDOOR TRAINING FACILITY

All users of the batting cages understand they use the facility at their own risk. The Lake Stevens Little

League is not liable for any personal injury or equipment damage sustained in or around the batting area.

  • The batting cage area must be supervised by an approved adult (LSLL Coach or trainer) during scheduled usage.
  • No food, pop or sports drink inside the batting cages. Please drink water only due to the field turf.
  • No tobacco use allowed in the Lake Zone.
  • Do not bring in any if your own hard balls into the facility. This is an indoor ball facility only and this is for your own protection.
  • Only assigned groups allowed only to use the batting cage during current reservation. Usage time concludes ten (10) minutes prior to the end of the user group's facility reservation time.
  • Please have batters hit from the Roll up door end
  • Please use pitching machine in the North Batting cage to prevent damage to the rollup door.
  • First time users must undergo a brief equipment orientation with LSLL T&D Staff or LSLL Coaches
  • At no time should "horse play" be permitted
  • Helmets must be worn at all times in the batting cages.
  • Only adults may feed the pitching machine.
  • Pitching machine operators must use the Square or L-screens at all times of operation.
  • Pitching machine adjustments must not be made with a batter in front of the machine. All adjustments need to be made from behind the machine.
  • The speed of the machine should be set to the appropriate levels for the age of the user.
  • Please perform as much activity inside the netting as possible or behind the protective nets. **IF
  • NOT WE RUN THE RISK OF DAMAGING THE UNPROTECTED INSULATION ON THE UPPER
  • WALLS**
  • Catcher must wear catcher's helmet, mask, throat guard, long model chest protector, shin guards and
  • protective cup with athletic supporter at all times (males) for all practices and games. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Managers should encourage all male players to wear protective cups and supporters for practices and games.
  • If an incident or accident happens please contact your coach and the VP of the sport
  • When departing please pick up all balls, helmets, bats and trash.
  • The last group to use the cages will put away all equipment, turn off lights, and make sure everything is secured and locked.

WAIVER FORM MUST BE SIGNED BEFORE USING THE BATTING CAGES – IF THE PARTICIPANT
