The Judges & Stewards Commissioner is responsible for handling written and signed complaints relating to judges and stewards conduct when filed by exhibitors, show officials, or others, and when accompanied by a ten-dollar ($10.00) filing fee [Resolution 5-90]. Other comments, compliments, questions, inquiries are encouraged when appropriate (no filing fee required). Illinois State Health Requirements

An official health certificate issued within 30 days of the show by a licensed veterinarian must accompany all horses not residing in the State of Illinois. A negative Coggins certificate issued within the past 12 months must accompany all horses. The health and original Coggins certificates must be available for inspection at the time of check in. Do not mail with your entry. In case of suspected unsoundness or as a safeguard against communicable disease, all horses are subject to physical inspection by the show veterinarian.

General Information

SHOW OFFICE: Located outside the main barn by the dressage arena. The show office will open Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m and remain open the duration of the one day show. The show office will remain open throughout each session unless otherwise posted or announced.

ENTRIES CLOSE: April 4, 2018. Entries are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. All entries must be postmarked by04 April 2018. Each entry must complete the enclosed entry form including all required numbers and signatures. Mail entries complete with signed entry blank, fee payment (NO BLANK/TAB CHECKS) and all photocopies of membership cards and registration certificates to Show Secretary.

THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL $10.00 CHARGE FOR EACH INCOMPLETE ENTRY. Entries lacking any of the above mentioned, will be considered incomplete and may be returned. Exhibitor packets will not be given to exhibitors until entry is complete. All entries must be accompanied by a valid check or money order for the full amount of all fees made out to Royale Ranch, LLC. THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL 25.00 CHARGE FOR ANY CHECK RETURNED FOR ANY REASON. THERE WILL BE A $25.00 FEE FOR STOP PAYMENT OF CHECK FOR ANY REASON. Entries will only be considered complete if copies of each of the following are sent with Entry Form:

C. USEF Membership Cards (owner, trainer, rider, driver & handler) (if applicable)

*A copy of the current registration certificate of each horse entered must be sent along with the entry form to the Show Secretary for USEF HOY or qualification points.

** In the case of a sale or lease, it is required that a copy of the sale contract or lease, or statement from the owner be submitted with the copy of the current registration certificate.

All entries must be made in writing on an official entry form for this show or photocopies of the same. Please use a ballpoint pen or typewriter to complete entry form. Every owner, trainer, rider, driver, handler and parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor must sign the entry form and must be a member of USEF pay the nonmember/single event fees. A horse may be entered in the name of his recorded owner or lessee only. The complete address and phone number of the recorded owner or lessee must be given, even if an agent enters the horse. No horses may be entered on more than one form.

Post Entries: No post entries accepted for dressage rides except to fill scratches.

Class Entries: A Horse/Rider combination may enter no more than two consecutive levels. No horse may be ridden more than once in any Western Dressage class. Horses cannot be ridden by more than two riders. Shows may further limit number of rides per horse and level if stated in their prize list.WD102 Participation in Western Dressage Competitions

Withdrawing Entries & Refunds

Entries may be scratched from the show prior to 06 April 2018 with a total refund of all fees. After the entry closing date, no refunds of class fees will be made UNLESS written request accompanied by a veterinarian's certificate is received in the show office.

INDEMNITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK

All entries are made and accepted with the understanding that Royale Ranch, LLC will not be responsible for any loss, personal injury, or damage to any horse exhibited or for any article of any kind or nature that may be lost, destroyed or in any way damaged and each participant assumes the risk of any such injury and recognizes that participation in activities involving horses is inherently risky. Each exhibitor will be responsible for any loss, damage or injury to any person, or any animal, or any property occasioned by him, his agents or employees, or by any animal owned or exhibited by him and shall indemnify Royale Ranch, LLC against any and all loss, liability and damages of any kind or nature thus occasioned, including attorney fees, which may be incurred as a results thereof. The submitting of an entry form to the Show Secretary shall constitute an acceptance of each person signing same of the provisions herein set forth."

Arrival Time: Horses will be accepted 7:30a.m. 4/08/2018. Anyone who wants to arrive before this time should advise the barn manager of your arrival date and time. There will be an additional charge of $25.00 per day per horse for early arrivals.

Departure Time: All horses must depart the show grounds no later than midnight, Sunday, April 8, 2018. Exhibitors wanting to remain after this time must make special arrangements with the barn manager and will be charged an additional fee of $25.00 per day per stall.

Parking: Gravel and grass parking will be available.

Dogs: Please NO dogs permitted on the property.

Arenas: The main show arena is a small 20m x 40m arena for Introductory and Basic and 20m x 60m for Level 1 and Level 2 with a dirt/sand mixture footing. There are adjoining warm-up arena is 18m x 30m with a dirt/sand mixture footing. There is a 14m round pen for lunging with crushed limestone footing. Exhibitors will be permitted to work horses in the indoor arena. There may be an occasional interruption in the warm up arena due to dragging and/or show preparation.

Protests: Any protest must be filed in accordance with USEF Rules Code of Ethics rules.

Officials: In the event that an official is unable to perform his duties, the Show Committee reserves the right to substitute an official according to USEF rules. Exhibitors are warned that any act of discourtesy or disobedience to the officials on the part of the owner, groom, rider, driver or handler will disqualify the horse from adjudication. The management reserves the right to remove the horse's owner, groom, rider, driver, and/or handler from the show without being liable for compensation or damages

DRESSAGE

WDAA Western Dressage Tests will be used. Entries will be accepted on a first come/first served basis. Post entries for Dressage will be accepted only to fill scratched classes, and under the same rules as govern other performance classes. Dressage classes will not necessarily run in Prize List order. Dressage classes will not necessarily in Prize List order.

CLASS SPECIFICATIONS:

These shows are conducted in accordance with the rules of the USEF and USDF. EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT USEF RULE BOOK WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH. Any changes or corrections of the rules will be automatically become part of this premium list. Each participant in the show is responsible for knowledge of and is subject to the USEF Rules. Exhibitors are encouraged to read the USEF Rule book, and particularly the complete dressage rules, class descriptions and judging specifications. The show committee will decide questions not covered by the USEF Rules, and its decision will be final.

ATTENTION DRESSAGE EXHIBITORS

Each competitor is responsible for supplying management with correct applicable numbers USEF for horse, owner, rider, and trainer, before the day of the competition.

The scores of competitors who fail to supply correct numbers may not be counted toward USEF or WDAA recognition.

Protective Headgear: Riders in all classes must wear protective headgear. Refer to current USEF Rule BookEffective 2/1/18, the use of a properly fastened Protective Headgear will be mandatory while riding on the show grounds (SUBCHAPTER 8-A ATTIRE AND EQUIPMENT, General Regulations). USEFGR801

RULES AND REGULATIONS

EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT USEF RULE BOOK WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH.

All questions not covered in these rules and regulations shall be decided by the show management whose decision shall be final.

Every horse entered for competition will comply with the rules of the horse show management, but management will, in no case, be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur, and it shall be condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold this horse show and the officials and employees of the show blameless for any loss or accident to his horse, employees, equipment, which may occur from sickness, fire or otherwise.

The management reserves the right to refuse, accept conditionally, or to cancel any entries, disqualify any riders or exhibitors, prohibit entries and cancel award prizes without claims for damages; to cancel or combine unfilled classes, or to reschedule classes after due notice to exhibitors; to change rings or rotate judges.

Exhibitors are notified that any act of discourtesy or disobedience to the judges or officials, on the part of the owner, manager, rider, or groom shall disqualify the horse, and the owner shall forfeit his entry fee and other fees.

Show management reserves to itself the power to prohibit any person from attending or showing a horse in the ring and to remove any groom or horse from the show without being liable for compensation. In accordance with the 1989 Federal Waste Tracking Act, which restricts the disposal of medical waste, biohazardous medical waste containers will be provided in the stable area. All exhibitors and their agents are responsible for the proper disposal of this waste.

No person will be allowed in the show ring during the time of judging except the exhibitor and those having official or requested duties to perform.

It is the tradition of the show that riders be correctly attired for the class in question, that attendants be neatly dressed and the horses properly presented. Management may in its discretion bar any person from entering the ring if not suitable presented to appear before an audience.

MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT

Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A non member may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 Show Pass fee. Participants in thefollowing classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lessonprogram); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes.

MOTORIZED VEHICLES

Minors who do not have a valid driver's license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver's license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance withChapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.

SHARPS CONTAINERS

Competition management may fine any individuals including trainers, owners, exhibitors, or their agents up to $100 for improper disposal of needles or other sharp disposable instruments. Sharps container will be available at the front of the barn. There will be a minimum of one sharps container for the disposal of needles and other disposable sharp instruments in convenient locations in barns housing competition horses.

Numbers must be worn at all times when a horse is being exercised or ridden.
