List of things to bring

We will spend a fair amount of time outside and the items are for cold weather.

Mitts-preferably with removable liners

-they are better than gloves because the fingers are together .

Snowmobile boots with removable liners-each day the liners have to be taken out and dried.

Runners are not good enough!!!!

Wool socks (2 pair) - it is best to wear only one pair of good socks - the boot cannot be tootight. It should be a little loose to allow the feet to move around a little.

Boots and socks have to be dry- if they are damp - your feet will be cold.

Layered clothing - undershirt, sweater or hoody and a jacket, ski pants or wind pants. Blue jean material is the coldest. It is better to have corduroy or cotton pants or sweatpants covered by wind pants.

Long underwear- they will keep your legs warmer. Yes!! For the girls too!!!

Hand and foot warmers are sold at several stores (I buy mine at Walmart). They are called "HotHands" or "Hot Feet". They last for about 8 hours and are definitely worth having.

Hats- should be a toque or hat with ear flaps.

Sunglasses, sunscreen, lip protectant, a scarf, and slippers for indoors.

It is not necessary but a suggestion would be to bring an insulated cup to have a beverage in during the day.

We want you to have a good time and you can't do that if you are cold.

If you do not understand what these things are - ask your host parents to explain or email me.
