Rotary Board Meeting January 15, 2015

Attendance:

Meeting called to order at 6:30pm

Motion to approve minutes of board meeting 12-10-2014. Tom Deland approved, Cory Amend 2nd.

Treasurer’s report. Asset $30,000 over due to invoice in June through December. Market expenses are down 1000. IRS due $1000. Bob Hoyle asked if we could fund Ryla? Ryla is a foundation expense. Treasurer report approved Tom Deland-Vance Rasmussen 2nd.

Motion to Approve Minutes of Board Meeting 11-12-2014

4th Quarter 2 quarter fiscal, Available funds $55869. Total funds.

Check to foundation approximate $16000. $13000. Available to use for Non 501C3 grants.

Vance is checking to see if Legacy High School students can help at Bingo.

John O’Hayre is checking on were funds can go in the next 10 Days.

Tim Todd owes 2 quartes.

John O’Hayre states 90 days then termination

Lester Zinser is Honorary.

Checking on future young professional club, 3 members were chosen with Rotary international.

Still a lot of inventory. Sold a lot to new members $14,000 sold. Highest yet, $8348 up over $15000. Started at $5000.

Could end up with 6 to 7 new Paul Harris awards. Will remind people on $100 commitment annually.

Kim Cooper will bring it up at the next meeting. Motion for Dan Vasey to send out a notice to club on were they are with the 100. Commitment. Vance Rasmussen, Cory Amend 2nd.

Holiday party big success: 25 more people than last year. Every one agreed after holiday is better. Time may be a little later than 5:30 pm. $10 less expensive from previous year.

Bike program: Dennis Thode is looking for a different place to store bikes. Committing to Casa about 20 bikes hopefully by March. Keep the bikes in Broomfield. Possible create a rodeo bike with police and fire for safety. Holding back on schools. Don’t want to over promise and not have enough bikes. Club agrees to Identify who is in most need, the amount of dollars, and how many bikes to full fill promise.

New business:

Tom Deland Support a motion to authorize $2500 per incident for police or fire out side of the jurisdiction to benefit families. Never closed.

Board approved $2500 to Nora’s family for her head stone. Checking to see if there is a way Children’s has an approved way to receive the funds.

Golf Tournament: Golf site, Omni has improved and can receive multiple types of payments. Request to put Higgins and Deyong at the bottom with all the man hours there company has put into the site. Appoved.

John O’Hayre –Governor wants us to show how we built the relationship w/Friends of Broomfield and do a presentation at the district conference.

Wreathes across America, Bob Hoyle

Its suggested that it can be a fund raising project for interact club. Checking with Bill Duggan.

Web site opens for Ryla applications at the schools. Checking with school counselors on process.
