General Business:
Fundraising Proposals were put forward for...
- Cadbury chocolate drive - The chocolate drive requires an outlay of $1500 to buy $50 boxes priced at $30 per box. Jade Carver put this proposal forward
It was decided and authorised with this and the outlay pending approval from Education Queensland.
Principal advised concerns regarding the chocolate drive due to the conflict with the school’s Healthy Food and Drink Strategy implementation.. Principal didhowever agree that a chocolate drive could occur one month this year and one next at a date to be advised.
- Scratchie raffle - The scratchie raffle requires an outlay of $200 to be spent on scratchie tickets and supplies. Jessica Ortlipp put this proposal forward.
The group has approved this $200 outlay.
- Tivoli drive in raffle - The Tivoli Drive-In raffle requires an outlay of $200. These raffles would be held once a month starting in November. Tickets would be $2 each or 3 for $5. Jade carver put this proposal forward.
- Weekday food fundraising suggestions.
- Cent Auction – The cent auction requires an outlay of $250 for raffle books, prizes and non perishable grocery/household items. Donations will also be sought from local businesses. Proposed date to hold cent auction is Saturday 9th September in the school hall. Sandy Lindh and Lisa Fairbridge put this proposal forward. The Group has approved the $250 outlay and Principal will confirm availability to the hall being used on Saturday 9th September 2017
A request was put through to Sandy Christensen for fundraising letters of introduction for P&C members involved in the above approved events. Sandy Christensen has agreed upon this, Sandy will consider this.
Lisa Fairbridge and Christine Dekker spoke to Mick Orman from Rosewood Farm Supplies regarding fruit being supplied to the school for fruit and jelly cups. Mick has agreed to sell us produce at cost price. In return he has requested that we put his business name and card in the school newsletter. We will also be buying other produce from Mick for events such as gala day etc. Sandy Christensen approved his business be advertised in the newsletter.
Patrick Mann will look under his house to see if there are any items that could be used for upcoming events. IE baskets etc.
Due to Chantelle Underhill moving house and therefore changing her children’s school, she has had to resign her position on the Rosewood State School P&C committee in the position of Vice President. We wish her all the best for her future endeavours.
