2.02 EasySpring– Components

A. Control System: Manually-operated spring roller shade.

1. Configuration: Single shades

2. Dual Shades

B. Mounting Hardware:

1. Mounting Hardware: RollEasestandard nickel-plated, stamped steel

universal brackets, varying in size depending upon size and weight of

shade, including end plug devices affixed to brackets. Endplugs designed to be

inserted into roller tube for a tight fit and to provide bearing surfaces on which the

roller tube rides, ensuring smooth, wear-resistant operation.White powder coat

painted finish.

2, Mounting Hardware: RollEase “Skyline” series nickel-plated, stamped steel

universal brackets, varying in size depending upon size and weight of shade.

Brackets are adaptable to all Skyline bracket and fascia systems with the use of a

Skyline Bracket Adaptor.

a. Skyline spring-loaded pin end optional.

C. Roller Tube: Extruded aluminum shade roller tube of diameter and wall thickness

required to support shade fabric without excessive deflection, with engineered wall &

ribs to lock the clutch and idle end plug into place, providing strength & durability.

Extruded tube parameters to be determined by fabricator for each shade’s size,

weight, and fabric requirement.

D. Fabric Attachment to Tube: Provide for positive mechanical attachment of fabric to

roller tube via LSE (Low Stress Energy) double-sided adhesive tape to secure the

fabric without having to remove shade roller from shade brackets. Fabric wrap of 2 ½

to 3 times the circumference of the roller tube required for proper tension of fabric-to-

tube. Fabricator to calculate for required fabric heights to accomplish correct fabric

drop.

E. Springs: Tempered steel helical torsion spring of size and capacity to accomplish the

lift requirements of size and fabric weight. A speed reducer shall be an integral

component of the spring assembly, with fittings sized for roller tube inside diameter

and to be secured by the spring bracket end plugs.Standard 1” overall diameter

springs adaptable to 1 ¼” (32mm) tubes. A 1 1/8” overall diameter spring mechanism

is also available. A 1 1/2” overall diameter spring mechanism to be calculated for

larger shades. Standard 1” springs incorporate two stop balls.

F. Speed Reducer: Enables a slow, steady rise of fabric when operated – 1” and 1 1/4”

springs only.

G. Speed Reducer with Stop: Enables a slow, steady rise offabric when operated– 1”

and 1 1/4” springs only. Two integral stopballs allow for an internal stop

approximately every 1” to 2”(25mm – 50mm) of fabric travel, depending upon tube

diameter.

H. Hem Weight – Internal: Standard, aluminum extrusion enclosed in a fabric hem pocket

with heat-welded seams and ends.

I. Hem Bar - External: Oval hem bar with end caps and screws.

a. Color: Clear Anodized

b. Color: White

c. Color: Vanilla

d. Color: Brown

e. Color: Black

J.Optional Fascia System: Available only with “Skyline” series brackets and utilization of

Skyline Bracket Adaptor

K. Shade Cloth Fabric: Inherently anti-static, flame retardant, fade and stain resistant,

light filtering, room darkening, or blackout fabrics as selected by the architect from

RollEase full line of Alkenz fabrics. Fabrics of compositions containing combinations

of fiberglass, PVC, polyester, acrylic, vinyl laminates & vinyl coatings. Fabric type,

pattern and finish as selected by architect from manufacturer’s available contract

colors.

2.03 EasySpringPlus - Components

A. Control System: Manually-operated spring roller shade with integral stop feature.

B. Mounting Hardware:

1. Headrail: Extruded aluminum headrail with integral recesses to accept snap-in

spring steel mounting brackets or stamped steel mounting assemblies, varying in

size, dependingupon sizeand weight of shade. White powder coat painted finish.
