Location: Based at one of the Summer Camp Venues throughout Ulster each week

Salary: £325 per week

Purpose of the role: Is to oversee the day to day safe and smooth running of a Summer Camp venue each week, with overall responsibility for participant welfare and staff coaches at each allocated venue.

Responsibilities

·  Oversee the day to day safe and smooth running of each camp that you are allocated to as Camp Manager. This includes the welfare of all camp participants and ensuring that everyone has a safe, positive and fun experience.

·  Be the designated First Aider at your allocated camps and deal with all incidents in a professional manner including completion of Accident Report Forms and follow up with individuals and their parents/guardians.

·  Manage all equipment that is necessary for the operation of the camp under your supervision ensuring that there is sufficient equipment for all coaches

·  Manage the coaches who will be delivering the content of the summer rugby camps including ensuring that they:-

o  deliver the agreed programme in a safe manner,

o  arrive at the camps in good time to set up their equipment and assist with the arrival of all participants

o  adhere to all health and safety requirements and child protection policies and procedures as outlined by Ulster Rugby/Ulster Branch

·  Ensure that all participants on the camp are safely collected at the end of each day

·  Ensure that all administrative procedures are adhered to as directed by the Summer Camps Project Manager.

·  Ensure that participant gear packs are distributed appropriately to all participants in a timely manner and deal with any discrepancies.

·  Liaise with host venues to ensure the smooth operation of each camp including checking that changing rooms are open for participants arrival and that pitches are in an appropriate condition for use

·  Assist with any promotional requirements as directed by the Summer Camp Project Manager

·  Liaise with the Summer Camp Project Manager regarding all aspects of the Professional Player visits including meeting and greeting, organisation of photographs and autographs and generally controlling the visit.

·  Any other duties as directed by the Summer Camp Project Manager

Physical / o  A degree of physical fitness is required in order to be able fulfil the requirements of this job
Qualifications and Training / o  Candidates must hold a minimum of an IRFU Foundation Qualification / o  IRFU Mini Rugby Qualification
o  Qualified First Aider
o  Attended Child Protection Awareness Training
Experience / o  Candidates must have experience of working in a rugby or sporting field as a coach / o  Previous experience in the delivery of sports participation programmes eg summer/Easter camps, schemes etc.
o  Experience of the management of staff
