Agenda approved: Peter is a poopy head

New Business:

  • Ruby Club Dismissal overview by Peter K: Club Pres. Quit and existing members decided they wanted to pursue a multi school club with PCC and CCC. Rec Clubs does not sponsor this action as it goes against student fee policies
  • Alex Acceta Trophy Case discussion: Anti trophy case due to maint and lack of cycling through old and new awards in addition crowding to smaller less meaningful awards. Wants a criteria for how long and which trophies will go into trophy case and where said trophy case will be located.
  • Seiya Team Handball: Missed Fall Training and Term Report. Stated miscommunication between club leaders in addition to personal issues. The club only had two club leaders due to a leader moving out of state, but now have recruited two additional leaders who will attend an intro class to become familiar with REC policies. Resin from team handball was found on the multi-use court. They are looking into cleaning procedures to remove resin. Aaron points out that “shit roles down hill”.
  • Disc golf has missed the fall term report and winter training. They were sent an email requesting that they attend today’s meeting.
  • Hockey is over $3000 in the red. They are dismissing their coach, cancelling ice time. The RCC is going invite team leaders to an RCC meeting to brainstorm ways to help hockey get into the black.
  • EDDIE’s office hours: Next week RCC officers will help finishing conduct rosters, code of conduct, and liability waivers.
  • Club no show policy for scheduled facilities/space: What is a no show? Minimum 5 no later than 15 min. into the practice. Higher tiers may have larger member requirements for scheduled times.

Three strikes of no shows will mean that one scheduled time slot will be cancelled for the quarter.

The amount of time for the scheduled practice can also be adjuseted to better suit usage.

  • Volleyball budget questions about new balls. RCC and prostaff asked that they begin charging dues to fund balls. JT will contact leaders about attending next RCC meeting to discuss further.
  • Sami spoke with Jess Goodwin about membership dues and the RCC have decided that non students will be required to pay Rec building fees to become members of a Rec club.
  • Sami will contact Disc Golf to see if they would like to move forward as a club, if they do they will be required to be on probation.
