The Department of Human Services is seeking Business and Data Analysts to support a number of projects/ programmes, working in multi-disciplinary teams in the Payment Reforms Group. Primarily these staff would be working as part of the Welfare Payment Infrastructure Transformation (WPIT) Programme.

Where will the work take place?

Brisbane or Melbourne

The Payments Reform Group would require Business and Data Analysts to be able to work from the following of its Hub locations mainly being:

• Brisbane (up to 3 roles)

• Melbourne (up to 2 roles)

However we also have hubs where travel may be required:

• Canberra

• Newcastle

Please note that reasonable travel between hub locations would not be chargeable to the department.

Who will the specialist work with?

The Business and Data Analysts are currently required for the following areas:

• Payment Utility Project

• Digital Enablement Project

• Strategic Information Management and Data Branch

The Business and Data Analysts will be required to work with a range of stakeholders across the Payment Reform Group and the broader department.

The Business and Data Analysts will be team members of multi-disciplinary teams as part of the Welfare Payment Infrastructure Transformation, which is business led, technology enabled.

What will the specialist do?

The Business and Data Analysts with work in various sections within the Welfare Payments Infrastructure Transformation (WPIT) Programme. They will actively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs elicit, define and document user stories and/or business requirements and processes, that support the development of functional and non-functional requirements.

They will assess cost-benefits, produce and review artefacts and documents and have abilities in data testing and modelling.
