Rod Esam – February 3, 2003 Media Release

Hello to you all. Tamworth is over and what an experience, the adrenaline is still pumping I am still trying to recover, how about you?

"Earthmover" Album launch.

Held at the Longyard and what a huge success. The Goonoo Goonoo room was at full capacity with 700 seated and many left standing. Special Guests included - Donella Plane singing the beautiful Duet "Daddy Lets Play", Sarah and Nicole Hayes, NSW Line Dancing Champions dancing to "Earthmover" and "Coastal Cowboy". Angie Mooney, Australian Whip Cracking Champion, and Campbell the swaggie.

Compered by Clair Hayes, the launch gave to the audience songs, written from the heart about Eve and my own life experiences. It was quite emotional for both of us with the warmth, interaction and energetic response from our audience giving us all the encouragement we need to prepare for our tour and promotion of the album.

To the presenters, media, and event personnel who made it to the launch or other shows at Tamworth I sincerely thank you for your support, interest and encouraging words. To those who couldn’t make it, we were sorry to miss you and still have Media packs and albums available for Stations if you would like to contact us.

Don’t forget the

Web site is up and away with information on the Album "Earthmover", The R&D Australiana Show and forthcoming gigs which we are currently organising. It's a fresh easy to access site sohave a look andplease say hello in the guest book.

NFS 78 will be out this month and features “Earthmover” as our second single to be released of the album. With the success of “Back Outback” in the charts we hope “Earthmover” follows suite. A music Video Clip produced by Groundswell Video Productions, goes to television also.

Since Tamworth I have had many presenters feature myself as artist of the week and “Earthmover” as album of the week. Thank you, what terrific people you are. I am currently calling stations and presenters, to organise interviews, so if I have accidentally missed you please give me a call.

The day after we returned from Tamworth we attended the funeral of a friend, our age who had died of cancer while we were in Tamworth. She left behind a husband and two young boys the same age as our kids. Driving home reflecting on the day, we turned on the radio and 4AAA were playing our song “Colours in the sky”. We felt really happy to be alive!
