PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS (CIVIL)

The Director, IUCAA invites applications from reputed contractors for the work of "Resurfacing of the road from Kalbhairavnath school village Giravali to IUCAA Giravali Observatory (IGO) at Giravali, Tal- Ambegaon, Dist. Pune"

The proposed site is in remote / hilly areas without any supporting facilities like water and electricity etc.

The Applicant should have carried out at least one works of similar nature costing more than Rs.200 lakhs or 2 works of 150 lakhs or 3 works of 100 lakhs for reputed institutes / Govt. organization during last three years. The applicant should have its own plants and machineries like Roller & Paver etc. or the applicant have to submit MOU between him & Plant Owner to use / provide plant and machineries.

Tender (pre-qualification) documents can be obtained from our CASH OFFICE between 1130 hrs. and 1530 hrs. or official website ( during 11/12/2017 to 13/12/2017 on payment of Rs.5000/- (Rs. Five Thousand only) as nonrefundable tender cost by cash/DD/NEFT/RTGS favouring “IUCAA”. The Bank details of IUCAA are provided in tender (Pre-qualification) documents

The applicant shall submit details in prescribed format to be collected from IUCAA. The main tender documents will be issued only to the agencies pre-qualified through this notice.

IUCAA reserves the rights to reject any or all application without assigning any reason thereof. Application should be addressed to the “The Administrative Officer, (Purchase)” Pune should be reached up to 1500 hrs on 26th December 2017.

  1. The evaluation shall be mainly based on the eligibility criteria, other factors like timely completion, resources of the applicant, pre-qualification with other institutions/ works etc, manpower & logistical support of the applicant, their financial capabilities, quality consciousness, etc. will be considered as added qualifications. If, found necessary, the contractor shall make arrangements to inspect any of the works undertaken by them.
  2. Applications received after the due date and time shall be rejected.
  3. Financial bids will be invited ONLY from the shortlisted contractors.
  4. Hard copy with one CD containing soft copy of filled application along with copies of all supporting documents shall
be submitted with tender. Information on separate format (Printed Profile) will not be tabulated.
  1. No costs incurred by the applicant in applying, in providing necessary clarifications or attending discussions or site visits will be reimbursed.
  2. The Inter-University Centre for Astronomy & Astrophysics, Pune reserves the rights to accept or reject any or all applications
