This family home is beautifully appointed, equipped to a very high standard and has oil fired central heating with modern, efficient thermostatically controlled radiators in all rooms. The hallway leads to the kitchen/breakfast room - a wonderfully light and spacious room with opening windows overlooking the river, garden and woodland. Enjoy the scenery when sitting at the handmade beech table as well as from the kitchen sink. In fact, every room has a view.

On the ground floor is the family bathroom equipped with a deep enamel bath, overhead electric shower, wash basin, toilet, illuminated wall and an extendable magnifying make-up mirror. A large radiator will warm your towels. For extra warmth, a wall fan heater is provided.

Step into the fully carpeted, beamed and comfortable lounge. The original large inglenook has a copper canopy with an electric wood burning effect stove, window seats, ships lantern and wall lights. Paintings and pot lids decorate the cob walls. Books, maps, games, jigsaws, dvds and cds are there for your entertainment.

A solid wood open tread staircase (with handrail), leads to the landing and two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed and like the adjacent children’s room, enjoys a spectacular view down the river. The upstairs has polished wooden floors with rugs. An airing cupboard with immersion heater is within the children’s bedroom, which is decorated in a vibrant seaside theme and has two 2’6” beds. Three metres from the solid oak front door is the Garden Room, offering privacy and space for another couple, grand parents or older children. This large and popular bedroom has twin 3ft beds, white Shaker style bedroom furniture, a TV with DVD and a wonderful view to wake up to.

Outside there is a private parking area for 3 cars, one acre of terraced gardens and a riverside woodland. On the terrace is garden furniture. Stone steps lead to a large wooden staging, which is ideal for storing your kayaks, and to the foreshore where our rowing dinghy ‘Peggy’ is moored.
