Robert Keller, Fire Chief
Chief Keller has served as the Chief of the Fire Department for Brimfield Township for the last nine years. He has spent forty one years in total in the Fire Service and thirty eight years in the Emergency Medical Service. Chief Kellers Certfications includeLevel II Firefighter, Hazmat Technician, Fire Safety Inspector and EMT Intermediate. Memberships and P.C. Teams consist of P.C. Fire Chief’s Association, International Fire Chief’s Association, International Code of Council and National Fire Protections Association. In his spare time, he enjoys woodworking, reading and running.
Lt. Chris Morrison
Lt. Chris Morrison started his career with the Brimfield Township fire Department in June of 1991 and became fulltime in 1997. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 1998. Chris is a graduate of the prestigious Ohio Fire Executive Program (Class VIII), a three year educational program administered by the Ohio Fire Chief’s Association and Emergency Services Foundation. This program instructs high potential aspiring chief officers the core principals of executive leadership and management.
Chris serves as secretary treasurer of the Portage Fire Prevention Association, and Treasurer of the IAFF Local 4031 – Brimfield Professional Firefighters. Chris is a Level II firefighter, Nationally Registered Paramedic whose other certifications include: Critical Care Paramedic certification, EMS Instructor, Fire Inspector and Hazardous Materials Technician. Chris is an active member of and serves as one of two team leaders for the Portage County Dept. of Homeland Security – Incident Management Assistance Team (PC-IMAT), he only county IMAT in the State of Ohio.
Lt. John Carter
Lt. John Carter has been an active member of the Brimfield Township Fire Department for over twenty years. His training and certifications include Level II Firefighter, Paramedic, Ohio Fire Academy, Fire Attack and Officer Classes, National Fire Academy Incident Command classes and management classes and Haz Mat Technician Team. During his spare time he enjoys canoeing, boating and skiing.
Lt. Mike Richards
Lt. Mike Richards has been with the Brimfield Township Fire Department since January of 1997. Lieutenant Richards is a Level II Firefighter and also serves as a paramedic. His certifications include Officer I, Hazmat and USAR Tech. He enjoys spending time with his family when he is not serving the Residents of Brimfield. Mike is committed to health and wellness and is a certified Crossfit Trainer. You might even see him riding his Vespa around town.
Lt. Craig Mullaly
Lt. Craig Mullaly is a nine year veteran of the Brimfield Township Fire Department. His ranking is Lieutenant and is also a trained paramedic. Craig’s certifications include Level II Firefighter, Paramedic, Hazmat Technician, USAR Team, ACLS, PALS, ITLS, CPR and Fire Officer 1 and 2. During his off time, Craig enjoys sports, working out, outdoor activities, running and family.
Drew Helming
Drew has been a Firefighter and Paramedic for Brimfield Township since November of 2007. Drew’s certifications include Level II Firefighter and NCBIZT. During his spare time, Drew enjoys playing golf and football.
Conor Sessions
Connor has been with the Brimfield Township Fire Department since November 2007. In addition to being a Firefighter/Paramedic, Connor has the following certifications: Level II Firefighter, Hazmat Technician and currently in Dive Rescue Training. Connor enjoys spending time with family and friends and is a fan of the Cleveland Browns. Connor is also a proud member of the Portage County Water Rescue Team.
Ron Goodspeed
Ron has been a member of the Brimfield Township Fire Department for two years. His ranking includes Firefighter/Paramedic. Ron is a huge fan of the Cleveland Browns and participates in Cross Fit during his off time.
Ian Campbell
Ian is a Firefighter/Paramedic serving Brimfield Township for one and a half years. Ian is also a member of the USAR Team.
Joseph Weigel
Joe has been with the Brimfield Township Fire Department for one year. His certifications include; Firefighter, Paramedic, ACLS, PALS< ITLS, BLS and Hazmat. Joe is an extreme athlete who enjoys sports, working out, outdoor activities and lumberjacking. Eating is also a favorite past time.
Scott Taylor
Scott has been with the Brimfield Township Fire Department for two years. His certifications include; Level II Firefighter, Paramedic, Hazmat, ACLS, RALS, BLS and confined space. Scott enjoys sports and music when he is not busy serving the residents of Brimfield Township.
Matt Naylor
Matt joined the Brimfield Township Fire Department in July of 2011. He is a Level II Firefighter and Paramedic. His certifications include; EMT-P, ITLS, ACLS, PALS, Hazmat Awareness and OFA Mobile Fire Lab. Matt has been in the fire service since 2009. Matt enjoys spending time with his friends and family during his time off. Some of his other interests include the outdoors, music and dodge ball.
Daniel Biltz
Dan has been a full time member of the Brimfield Township Fire Department for four months. His ranking is Firefighter/Paramedic and is also a certified Hazmat Technician and Confined Space Specialist. Dan is additionally certified in CPR. His spare time is spent working out and conditioning.
Curtis Rhoades (C. J.)
Curtis started his career with the Brimfield Township Fire Department on February 2, 2011. His certifications include IFSAC, Level II Firefighter, Paramedic, Hazmat, Fire Instructor and Fire Officer I. He enjoys family, golf, travel and outdoor activities. Curtis is also an active member of the Portage County Dive Team.
