Beginner Warm Glass Jerry Knoch

This class will teach you the basics of fused and slumped glass. All classes will be held at Jerry’s home studio. When: Please call to arrange a time and date convenient to your schedule. No more than 2 students per session.

Class Fee: $85.00 - $110.00, depending on the size of the project and the glass used.

Beginning to Advanced – Acrylic Decorative Painting

Instructor – Deb Henkener

Dates: Every Tuesday (full) and Wednesday morning, January 17 – March 1

Time: 10:00 a.m. – Noon

Cost Per Class: $3.00 Members and $5.00 Non-members (Due on the day of the class.)

Class Limit: 8 Adults Per Class (18 and older)

Class Description: If you have always wanted to learn how to “tole”paint (called decorative painting), this is the class for you! Beginners will learn brush control and “floating”, Intermediate and advanced painters will enjoy the relaxed class with no pressure. Participants usually bring their own surface to paint, however some surfaces may be provided. Each painter will receive written instructions, pattern, photo, and paint for all classes.

All supplies will be available to any person who needs them, at no cost. Please bring these supplies to all classes (if you have your own supplies): soft bristle brushes (for acrylic or watercolors, such as Taklon, synthetic sable or a combination) – flat shaders (#6 and #10), #1 liner or script liner, 3/8” and ½” angular shaders, 1” sponge brush, and variety of stencil brushes. Other supplies: water basin, paper towels, Styrofoam plates (or disposable palette paper), a metal stylus, ruler, scissors, chalk pencil, mechanical pencil, soft eraser, white graphite paper). DecoArt Americana Acrylic paint is our medium. Projects for this session may include a seasonal still life, an herb wreath, a snowman, Santa portrait, Valentine cards, and/or a few surprises!

Join us for a fun and relaxed morning of painting at Riverside! Please note – Tuesday is full. Wednesday has a few seats open.

Beginning and Intermediate Watercolor Barbara Sailor

Join Barb on Monday evenings for painting in watercolor. Barb will be teaching basic watercolor painting, including composition, design, terminology and watercolor painting skills and techniques. We will be meeting on a weekly basis. You will not be committing to a 6 or 8 week period of classes – you will only attend when you are able.

When: Classes are on-going, and then held every Monday evening from 5:00 -8:00 p.m.

Where: Classes will be held at Riverside Art Center, Wapakoneta, Ohio.

Class Fee:$10.00 (or$12.00 for non-members) per evening.

All classes are held at Riverside Art Center except where indicated.

Fees for each class are set with a fee for members as well as non-members. Members receive a 10% or more discount on classes. (You are able to become a member the first day of class by paying your membership fee.) The Minimum/maximum numbers for classes are determined by the instructor of the class. Half the payment for classes is due at registration: the remainder of the balance is due the first day of classes. Registrations are due one week before the first day of the class unless otherwise indicated. Call the instructor of the class if you have any questions. Make checks payable to the instructor of the class. Do not make checks payable to Riverside Art Center. You may mail or drop off your registration to Riverside, but you have to call the instructor and let them know you will be attending and that you are mailing the registration.
