RiverSea Plantation 2009 Pool Rules

  1. Only Members in Good Standing are permitted to use the pool facility.
  2. SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK. NO LIFEGUARD IS ON DUTY. Use the Buddy System and never swim alone.
  3. Diving is prohibited.
  4. Shower before entering the pool.
  5. The pool and restroom to the pool areas are open 6:00 am until 11:00 pm.
  6. Call for emergency help if injured or to report suspicious activity. Simply lifting the receiver on the emergency phones will automatically dial 911.
  7. The pool at RiverSea is for the exclusive use of members of RiverSea and their invited guests. The host member must accompany their guests to the pool. Members and their guests must comply with all North Carolina state laws.
  8. Each household is limited to a maximum of 4 guests at one time. Damages caused by any guest will be the responsibility of the host member.
  9. Be prepared to prove you are a property owner. Identification may be asked for at any time.
  10. The RiverSea POA isn’t responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
  11. Children under the age of 16 years are to have adult supervision when in the indoor or outdoor pool and pool areas. Unaccompanied children under the age of 16 will be asked to leave the facility.
  12. State law governs alcohol consumption and the Association assumes no responsibility to monitor alcohol consumption and will be held harmless for any violations or accidents.
  13. The pool and clubhouse will be enjoyable for all members provided everyone is courteous of other members and their guests. Courteous behavior does not include: abusive language, intoxication, running, pushing, shoving, screaming, splashing, or boisterous conducts. Therefore, such behavior is prohibited. Parents/Grandparents/Guardians are responsible for their child’s behavior.
  14. Proper swimming attire is required. Babies that are not potty-trained should wear special disposable diapers made specifically for swimming or other waterproof swimming pants. Cut-off jeans, disposable diapers, or any other filter-clogging clothing are not allowed.
  15. The pool is cleaned and maintained by a professional pool company on a routine basis, usually from May through October. Health regulations require the pool to be sanitized by the pool maintenance company, and then closed for several hours if the pool is used as a restroom by anyone, including an infant in unacceptable clothing.
  16. The following items are prohibited in the pool and pool area at all times: Glass or other breakable objects, personal cooking grills, loud playing of radios or other amplification equipment, pets, water balloons, boogie or body boards. Remote control toys are to be used only when the pool is not in use.
  17. Standard permitted pool items include (not all inclusive) goggles, masks, snorkels, noodles, inflatable arm “floaties,” or other swim “help” items. Inflatable pool toys/floats not larger than 30” by 48” in size may only be used when it does not interfere with the enjoyment of others.
  18. No food or drinks are allowed in the pool or at pool edge. Chewing gum is not allowed in the pool area.
  19. Smoking is prohibited at all times in the pool area.
  20. Individuals using the pool area are responsible for the cleanliness of the area they use, including disposing of all trash in the appropriate containers. Please keep these areas clean!
  21. Please use a towel on all chairs to protect them from suntan lotions, oils, etc. Residents and guests may bring their own chairs; however, no lounge chairs, other than those supplied, are allowed.
  22. No chairs, lounge chairs, or floating lounge chairs are allowed in the pool.
  23. The life rings and other safety equipment are for emergency use only.
  24. Please return umbrellas to the closed position after use.
  25. Both pool areas are immediately closed and must be vacated when thunder is heard.
  26. Any residents (or their guests) whose willful or malicious acts cause the pool to be drained, or cause damage in or around the pool area will be responsible for all costs involved in replacement or repair.

Failure to adhere to the above rules and regulations may result in the forfeiture of pool privileges.

The pool rules are subject to change or amendment at any time.

Comments, questions, suggestions, and reports of damage to the recreation facilities should be made to CAMS and the Pool and Clubhouse Committee.
