Join us for our annual
Riverdale Summer Camp 2018
June 4th – 8th
After a two year construction break, Riverdale’s Summer Camp is back! This year’s camp will have students participating in fun, enriching activities. Our campswill run from 8:30-3:00. Campers will need to supply their own lunch each day except for Friday - pizza will be provided on Friday. A mid-morning and mid-afternoonsnack will be provided each day.
Campers have the opportunity to select ONEof five different sessions (see camp descriptions on back). Classes will be on a first-come, first-served basis and will close when maximum capacity is reached.Each camp is open to rising 3rd – 8th graders. The camp fee is $185 per child and includes 2 snacks per day and a camp T-Shirt.

Camp Descriptions
ART CAMP–Students will participate in a variety of hands-on art activities, led by Riverdale Art Teachers Tracy Sammons and Melissa Cychowski. Projects will include ceramics, painting, collage, and a great time! All projects will go home with the campers at the end of the week. Open to rising 3rd– 8th graders.
MUSIC CAMP- Taught by Riverdale’s band teacher, Mr. Hopper. During this camp, students will perform on instruments, sing, and write music. Activities will include world drumming, mallet instruments, singing, and songwriting. Activities may also include traditional folk dances and movement activities. Open to rising 3rd – 8th graders.
SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING & MATH (STEM) CAMP –This camp focuses on hands-on, project-based group activities that requires collaboration, problem-solving, leadership, and ingenuity. The STEM camp will include basic programming, robots, building structures, rockets, and more. Open to rising 3rd – 8th graders.
REVVED UP READERS ENRICHMENT CAMP- Jump into summer with reading and fun! Let’s read, experiment, and see what we’ve done. We’ll write - we’ll draw – and also create. Come explore various topics with the help of fun fiction and nonfiction books. Each day, we’ll read a book and design an experiment or investigate a question which will challenge you.Get ready to explore amazing book genres, design car prototypes, and build bridges. Open to rising 3rd – 8th graders.
SPORTS CAMP–Campers will get their share of fun and exercise as they participate in a variety of sports activities. We will play whiffle ball, basketball, flag football, floor hockey, kickball, capture the flag, and much more. Open to rising 3rd – 8th graders.
