Rink Board Meeting Minutes

Meeting opens at 5.05 PM.

Waxing of the Floors
See attached quote from Progressive Sanitation. Review.
Speak with Jenkins (installed flooring originally) to see how often the floors should be cleaned/waxed
Dance Club Rental Agreement
Kent W. made up new contract that was reviewed. A couple changes were going to be made, and then sent out to rink board via email.
Someone from the dance club must sit on the rink board
Dance contact is to be reviewed on an annual basis (April 30th)
Canteen Manager
Need to hire someone to look over the canteen in the months to come. Options include: Lease space, rent, or hire manager.
Laura to sit down with Kenzie (last canteen manager) and go over pro’s and con’s of job. Revise job description from there.
The Facility Manager is now responsible for doing inventory of all supplies.
Safety
Purchase of eye wash stations are necessary in facility. Will be purchasing portable eye wash stations for the RCC.
No emergency evacuation plans throughout the facility. Laura to make one and put up.
Facility Upgrades
Painting the doors and railing a dark industrial grey (covering red painted doors)
Dehumidifier
Issues arising in the arena due to inadequate air flow. Will have to look into getting grants for a dehumidifier in the facility to control the air quality. Rent lift to take a look at baffles to see damage.
Hamilton Iron
Are now done the install of the last seating in the beaches. A work bee is going to need to be organized to put up remainder of seats (at compound).
Fitness Centre
Will have to look at relocating fitness centre as the dance club will now be renting the space. Contact other facilities to see how their fitness centres operate.
