INSTALL & REMOVAL OF GPS UNITS FOR

LOUISISANA PROPERTY ASSISTANCE AGENCY

A.  Scope of Work

Contractor shall install and/or remove GPS units provided by the Louisiana Property Assistance Agency (LPAA) per the Manufacturer’s guidelines. The GPS equipment shall include the following:

1.  GPS Insight PNP-3000VB (includes OBD-II Bypass Cable) – Plug and play into vehicle’s OBD-II port.

2.  GPS Insight GPSI-3900IVB/GPSI-3900EVB – Hardwired device requiring a three wire installation mounted in dash.

B.  Requirements

1.  The primary location of installation will occur at the LPAA site at 1059 Brickyard Ln., Baton Rouge, LA 70802.

2.  Vendor shall have a brick and mortar location within 15 miles of LPAA with the capability of handling drive up install requests.

3.  Vendor shall also be available to perform installations at other state facilities within 15 miles of LPAA upon request.

C.  Installation

Installation of all equipment and materials shall be in accordance with the “current” recommendation of the Manufacturer. The contractor will be held responsible for any damage of property by vendor’s employees while performing these services. The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, and supplies necessary; and shall plan, coordinate, schedule and ensure effective performance of all services described herein.

D.  Scheduling

Contractor will coordinate dates and times with LPAA and will be flexible regarding preferred installation hours. The installation hours will be Monday – Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Installation locations shall be determined by the State. Contractor shall make all reasonable efforts to minimize appointment lead time. There will be a minimum of eight installs to occur per callout although the State reserves the right to request an appointment for less should there be an urgent need.

E.  Contract Prices

Quoted pricing shall include installation or removal of the GPS unit, any necessary materials or supplies necessary to complete the services as described herein, and any trip charge within the proposed service area.

F.  Warranty

All labor, components, parts and assemblies supplied by and installed by the contractor shall be warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of at least twelve (12) months (parts and labor) commencing upon the date of acceptance by the agency.
