· Announcements
o Chorus proposal: Rachel Black, Greenwich House Music School
§ PS3 parents have come to her for help in expanding our music education program to include choir/singing
§ Greenwich House (GH) is happy to partner with us as they already partner with other local public schools
§ for this program (to run twenty weeks next year), we would have each 5th grade class create an original song which would be arranged by two GH teachers and Bruce
§ then they could record their songs at GH and perform them
§ Rachel has already applied for grants to cover the costs of the program
o Facilities
§ still working on auditorium A/C project, these things take two years from start to finish
§ big thanks to Arthur Pingrey, who did our new sound system in the auditorium
§ we didn’t get the participatory budget funding for our electrical outlet upgrades through Corey Johnson’s office, but we will be getting $90K from Gale Brewer’s office for this project
o Pop Up Shop
§ takes a whole team of people, hope to keep it going next year
