The National Hardware Show® is providing two (2) $5,000 scholarships to two students who will attend NRHA’s Retail Management Certification Program. To be eligible for the scholarship, the candidate must be eligible to be selected as a 2015 Young Retailer of the Year honoree and must be enrolled (or have submitted an application for enrollment) in the Fall 2015 Session of the NRHA Retail Management Certification Program.
Applicant Criteria
Scholarship candidates must be eligible to be selected as a 2015 Young Retailer of the Year honoree. Students applying for the scholarship must also commit to attending the Fall 2015 Session of the NRHA Retail Management Certification Program upon being awarded scholarship and must meet the program eligibility requirements outlined in the Retail Management Certification Program Application for Admission form.
Application Process
Candidates can apply for the National Hardware Show® Young Retailer of the Year Scholarship by completing this Application Form and submitting to NRHA, along with the applicant’s Retail Management Certification Program Application for Admission form and Young Retailer of the Year Entry Form. All three (3) forms must be received by NRHA by July 31, 2015 to be eligible for the scholarship.
Judging Process
Scholarship applications will be reviewed by a panel of judges consisting of NRHA Staff and Board Members who will select and award the scholarships. Scholarship recipients will be notified they have been selected no later than August 31, 2015.
Scholarship Value and Redemption
If selected to receive one of the $5,000 scholarships, the recipient must apply the scholarship to offset the cost of enrollment in the Fall 2015 Session of the Retail Management Certification Program. If recipient can’t attend this session, the scholarship will be forfeited and another candidate will be selected to receive the scholarship. Course tuition for the NRHA Retail Management Certification Program is $12,500 for NRHA members and $13,500 for non-members.
