10-week research scholarship through Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) to work in the Psychology and Psychiatry Department, Uniklinik (“University Hospital”), University of Aachen. Project involved design of experiments, desktop programming and implementation, olfactometer operation, interaction with schizophrenia patients, and data analysis. In the course of the 10 weeks spent working at the Uniklinik, I engaged in intensive German language training (5-6 hrs/wk). I was invited back in October of the same year to present our findings at the RWTH Aachen/UPenn Winter School Conference, Aachen Germany.
