Results and report from Fitzwilliam Team Show Jumping

The Novice team of Lexi Taylor, Callum Hale, Will Knight and Rhiona Hughes did well with Lexi and Callum both jumping double clear rounds. Will and Rhiona jumped well in the 2nd round but sadly this was not enough for the team to be placed in what was a large class. Better luck next time!

The 14.2hh team of Richard Coney, Henry Robertson and Sarah Wooding had a good day with each member of the team having at least one clear round and Richard managing a double clear on SoSo resulting in the team coming 6th overall on a score of 8 faults. As always, it was a testing course in the large arena with only one team ending on a score of zero.

The 13.2hh team consisting of Sarah Wooding, Annabel Tollemache, Alice Kilham and India Rowe had a fantastic day coming 2nd. Well done!

Thanks to you all for such good performances and to all parents for taking over when I had to leave.

See you again next year!

Sarah

Fitzwilliam Team Show Jumping Report – 10 & Unders

Belvoir Branch put forward three teams (Eager Belvoirs, Belvoir Boys and Belvoir Cubs) for the Fitz event at the East of England showground on Sunday 9h October – which was a great showing!

In very slippery conditions we had seven double clears from: Grace Gordon, Sophia Ktori, Sasha Pollock, Ted Morris, Jack Barnshaw, Charlotte Rathbone and Alice Moore – Well Done all of you.

Over all our Eager Belvoirs team (Grace Gordon, Sophia Ktori, Sasha Pollock and Kate Buckley) came a magnificent 3rd out of 16 teams and individually Charlote Rathbone came a fantastic 6th on her first outing representing Belvoir PC!

Thank you to all the parents, helpers and supporters who got our teams there at the crack of dawn and supported out teams to the very end…….

A huge thanks you to all the children and their “back up teams” who have represented Belvoir in the 10 and Unders Team Show Jumping this season. You have always looked beautifully turned out and been a credit to our branch. We have also enjoyed lots of success and had plenty of fun. Well Done all of you.

The metre team comprising of Jess Walker, Helen Lovegrove, Alex Van Doorn & Victoria Hazelwood all went well & finished 5th & the 1.10 team consisting of Jess, Helen, Alex & Katy Varnam finished 4th over what proved to be a very testing course!
