If you have that unmistakable craving for real New York deli, look no further than this Rittenhouse location of the Queen Village parent restaurant. Expect huge deli portions (some of the best pastrami/corned beef this side south of Giant Stadium!) and be prepared to either share or walk out with leftovers.
Parc Rittenhouse– ($$) -18th and Locust Streets. Here you will find classic French food such as quiche lorraine, trout amandine, steak frites, and some of the best onion soup gratinee in the area within a convenient stroll across Rittenhouse Park. The menu is stylish and contemporary. Starters include tempura shrimp sushi rolls and roasted duck flatbread, while some entrée suggestions are San Francisco style chioppino and blackened chicken penne.
Le Castagne-($$$) - 1920 Chestnut Street. Here at this wonderful little trattoria you will find classic and sophisticated Italian dishes including hand made/rolled pasta potato gnocchi so light and delicate and one of the finest Bolognese sauces in the city. Expect knowledgeable and helpful but non intrusive service in this great Italian Rittenhouse Square location.
Rouge–($$$) - 205 S. 18th Street (at Walnut).This cosmopolitan New American bistro commands great views of The Square with one of the best burgers known to Philly. Rouge offers great outdoor seating in season and has one of the best bar social scenes on Rittenhouse.

Devotees praise this solid neighborhood upscale New American deli for its daily “plats du jour” and great all the time menu items with a strong emphasis on quality ingredients for a great value.
