Wow, 4 months has gone by and it’s May already!! My name is Angela, the chair person for this community. I’ve asked Kathleen to do the Email. So when newbies want to subscribe- Emails will be forwarding to her. Thank you Kathleen Godat. I want to keep you all, update to what’s been going on and to add several future Events. What amaze me most is that this Central Oregon has been working together slowly putting events of all kinds. I will do my best to keep up with Central Oregon.
May 5th, 2016, We went to DGM in Salem Capitol where all the Deaf Nation in 50 states gather up in a Rally at their Capitol. Imagine that, all in the same clock of 9am to 4pm. Deaf Grassroots Movements. It is a Rally where we aim to fight for the rights of the deaf and future generations, I am sure you all feel that much need for civil rights laws for the better.
It was an incredible experience. I am all for Communication access, Education and Employment. I don’t know if WE the Deaf in Oregon got any of those Legislators attention yet but one day SOON.
